Yes I can only second that. thanks to the advice here everything is now more clear and simple to understand. Thanks a lot for that.

Thanks for the basic information! I had no idea what was going on when I saw it live at the casino. šŸ™‚

So I like to play lower stakes and just follow what the previous was.. if I see more then 2 changes back to back I then bet for it to keep changing

The least intimidating game you said? 🤣.
Honestly, before CC and casino.us merger, Baccarat was the most intimidating casino game for me. I've always seen its tables in casinos, especially in HR sections and just quickly looked the other way, always postponing a learning session.
After the merger, I created a thread asking for info about what I called a "mysterious" game to me. Thanks to many members, I finally learned the basics and even practiced on casino.us.
Now, you come up with this lesson and made it even more interesting. You actually clarified what didn't make any sense to me when I was practicing: I had no idea when the banker should hit/ stand or why.
Thanks a lot Chris.
I thought this said "least intimidating too" and then they begin explaining "easy" rules of this happens and that happens. I thought the least intimidating was slots because you just press a button or pull a lever. No thinking needed. xD

I've never played this game, but with such a detailed description of how to play, I think I'll give it a try. All I knew about this game was that the word ā€œbaccaratā€ means zero in Italian.

A fantastic, fast-paced, and very dynamic game. The key is to stay disciplined and stick to your limits.

I tried this game for the first time a few days ago. It’s quite simple, but at the same time very interesting. In theory, it would be interesting to run an experiment and apply the Martingale strategy to it.

I'm not sure that I totally understand this game, but will practice and see how it goes. I've been interested in trying this game ever since that whole Phil Ivey scandal. Kudos to @CRStals for these great series. It really is opening up a whole new world for me beyond poker.

I knew absolutely nothing about baccarat.
To tell the truth, I always imagined it was a variant of poker.
It seemed like a really fun game that doesn't require much calculation or concentration.
Good to play while having some cocktails. šŸ™‚

It’s a good game for first-time players. However, I doubt that those with experience of casino gaming would be willing to spend their money on games like this. That said, I think it’s generally a good way to have a bit of fun for players who are used to relying on their intuition.

I like games with simple rules. Baccarat is just such a game. a game without stress, simple, dynamic and fast. The main thing is not to spend more than you can and this is what will allow you to enjoy the game.

I never understood the game as my only exposure to it was through the James Bond movies (where ridiculous sums were won or lost on a single hand🤣), nice to have a basic understanding now of what is actually a simple game - thanks for the guide!

Never played the game in my life. After reading the tutorial I think I can manage to play. Just trying to remember all of this could be my biggest challange when getting started. After playing for a few days , weeks , months (šŸ˜‚) I'm sure the "Banker takes a card if" rules like this copy paste will be memorized.

  • If the Player's hand has a value between Zero and Five, the dealer will deal a third card to the player's hand
  • The delaer will draw a third card for the Banker's hand using more complicated rules. Below are the situations based on the banker's hand having a value of:
Zero to Two - Banker ALWAYS gets a third card
Three - Banker draws if the Player's third card is anything BUT an Eight
Four - Banker draws if the Player's third card falls between Two and Seven
Five - Banker draws if the Player's third card falls beteween Four and Seven
Six - Banker draws if the Player's third card is either a Six or Seven
Seven to Nine - Banker stands
  • If a hand equals Ten or more, the first digit is dropped, so Twelve is scored as a Two
  • The hand closest to Nine wins.
I will need to print it out and have handy when first playing šŸ˜‚.... But the object of winning the hand is simple enough. 🤪

Peace
Tony

I also used to think that this is a type of poker. And I thought that everything was very complicated. But in fact the game is not complicated, especially if you take into account the explanations that you provided in this learning series. I think this is definitely more than enough to start with šŸ™‚

I have never played Baccarat. I have only watched others play a few times, and the game was completely incomprehensible to me. But, thanks to such a wonderful instruction, I already have an understanding of the basics of the game and I think that now I will be able to play it on my own. Cool šŸ™‚

Thanks for this introduction.

ā™„ļø Betting Strategies
There are several strategies for betting Baccarat that players have employed to reduce that house edge even more.
Is there a strategy that is mathematically better than the others, or just down to preference?

I used to avoid playing baccarat. I thought it was a rather complicated and difficult game to understand. But after reading this material and understanding the basic basics, I have already tried it several times. The game is interesting, and to my surprise, very exciting, but at the same time it requires certain knowledge and definitely requires experience.

Good luck if you keep playing . I plan to stay away .

I never realized that Lucky 9 is our very own version of baccarat. šŸ˜‚ It's still played at many tables during funeral wakes even today.

I was only aware of baccarat because of James Bond movies, and after reading this description it seems mind-numbingly boring. With no decision inflection points it is just a gussied-up version of pure gambling : you might as well just flip coins or cut cards. Poker is a game of skill and strategy with a gambling element and I have no interest in pure gambling games. Seems like it could be made much better with the simple alteration of allowing a player to choose whether to take another card, like in blackjack.

It even made me want to play, I can make some cool strategies in the game!!

I agree that baccarat is one of the easiest casino games for beginners to understand. The rules are simple, and you don't have to make many decisions during a hand.
That said, I’m always a bit cautious with betting systems like Martingale and Fibonacci. They can make the session more interesting, but they don't change the house edge, and a long losing streak can get expensive very quickly. I’d rather set a fixed budget, keep my bets reasonable, and avoid chasing losses.
For me, the simplicity is what makes baccarat enjoyable. You can focus more on the game itself without having to learn a complicated strategy. šŸƒšŸ€

Very interesting, never play this game. But now i learn some rules and maybe try later!
