I have a colleague who has been playing at online casinos frequently for many years. He plays and spends a lot of money, definitely more than he wins, but even on the days when he does win something, he never buys anything with the money he wins. He keeps the money to continue playing with it. I asked him what the point was, but he couldn't give me a clear answer. For now I just added my Casino wins from promotions to my bankroll. With this bankroll I'm playing poker games and nothing else. I don't play in the in the casino with it.

I didnt buy something from my poker wins, but I save money with extra money from poker.
I have more than 50 tournament wins with more than 100$ per tournament.
As well deposit sometimes it's a part of the game, but more money I withdrawal.

Online, I have several times accumulated over $1000 from freerolls and cash games. I have never taken money out…I just play higher stakes until it’s all gone, then start over again. When I play live at a casino, any substantial winnings go toward meals or the hotel bill. I won $500 playing poker and paid for my wife’s spa day…my wife won $900 at a slot machine and paid for Celine Dion tickets.
These are about the only two instances over a thirty year period.

Interesting question! Personally, I’ve never bought a car with casino winnings, but I have used poker/online gambling profits to cover travel expenses and invest back into my bankroll. I think the key is discipline; otherwise, the money just keeps cycling back into the games.

I’ve never played in a casino—not even online—but I’ve bought several things with the money I’ve won playing online poker.

One of them was a new computer I built specifically for playing poker, and I also once paid for the entire veterinary treatment for one of my dogs using poker winnings.

Can't remember any of high value purchased with casino winnings. Bankroll comes from the wallet then winnings go back to the wallet that funds all other expenses in the daily routine. Tho whence I finally hit a significant jackpot, I'ld plan a holiday vacation for the whole family!

Winnings are there for investment or more gambling into poker tournaments maybe worth 10 euros or sats worth a few quid into buy-ins worth £30 or so.
