The guy is a joke to watch, he can only beat guys who weigh less than him because he sits on them so they cant defend themselves then punches them to get the ref to stop. He was being outclassed in the final before landing a miracle punch. McSweeney and Brendon both have legit chances of making it in the heavyweight division, Nelson is a joke who would get destroyed by all of the established fighters. Most underserving champ ever

Why did you flat the 4bet preflop?

I didn't want him to fold, honestly.

In my limited no limit experience, It seems like every time I reraise there, they fold.

Other than that, did I play it ok?

I'm just starting to transition from Limit to NL.

No one 4bet/folds AK there, especially that large a 4bet.

After the flop you're usually crushed or he's folding. I guess you found just the right idiot to shove his AK UI on the turn, so it worked out but generally when you get it in with KK on that board with that preflop action he'll show AA and sets.

You probably can't go wrong never flatting 4bets with standard stack sizes. Just get it in or fold.

id be shoving. the smaller raise pretty clearly commits you but to most players looks stronger (more like AA/KK than AK) and may scare him out if he has QQ/JJ/AK. shove and it's easier for him to put you on AK and call with those hands

even in spots where it would be a slight overbet (obviously this isn't one of those) i usually prefer just shoving my big hands pre because they love to put you on AK when you do it

My swongaments are getting pretty epic (both up and down), the first swong down to $100 (10 buy-ins) hurt a bit as it was my first real one.
The next session the upswing right to $6 cheered me up.

Suprisingly the insta-downswing to -$100 again didn't hurt at all really, maybe i'm getting used to it and maybe HEM telling me I should be up $60 instead of down $100 kept me tilt free (that should tilt me more right?).

After grinding up without any real help from the cards only to lose it again after a 3000 hand getting unstuck session did annoy me and I quit straight away lol. I dunno if this says i'm a bad player or it's just 6-max.

I wanted to play again today but my two bros are playing modern warfare online and FT keeps crashing so i'll take the .83c for today and wait my turn. Just an update for my december really and to see if this is normal although I can't see almost vertical swongs as being too normal lol. Ahhh, poker.

That's good to know. I just don't see why my swongs are near vertical, maybe it's tilt aggravated :). On my last tilt moment it turned out alright as I shoved AQs into QQ and won lol.

LuckyChippy,

I've just switched to 6max and swings like that are pretty normal as far as i can tell, i'm playing 10nl too if you wanna hit me up on MSN, [email protected], talk about hands, do some session analysis for each other?? if it weren't for the holiday bonus and rakeback i'd be down a few BI's atm so i kinda know how you feel.

I figure 6max is better for me though, i tilt when i go through a swing at FR b/c with my style i play on the low side of variance, i figure that if i wanna get over that part of my game then i've got to face my fears (just watched batman begins and bruce does it too lol), embrace the variance!!

Kinda sucks a bit to be relying on rakeback and bonuses to break even/slightly profit at 10nl, but except from the odd stack off with TPTK when it's quite clear that i'm beat, i think i've been playing well-ish i suppose, just gotta put in some proper time there and i think i'll show a decent profit.

just lost like 10 games in a row against a fish in HU sng's before winning 2 only for him to quit. The fact that i had to rely on sucking out in 1 and getting kk>qq in the other to win is far more depressing than losing a bunch in a row

There is nothing as awsome as playing the biggest fish in the world HU deepstacked.
Have him suck out on you repeatadly but some how u manage to be just down 2bi, he then sits outs after sucking out again and says "BRB smoke break" and then hit and runs u. :).

Yeah sounds good, I really want to put in as many hands as I can in the next few weeks to see if I start moving upwards. I feel i'm playing well, the swings do add a bit of tilt to my game but I feel i'm controlling that better.
I'm waititng to see my graph zoom up like it can at 6-max.

I play a very tight game at FR also so the variance seemed very unfair to me at first lol. Like I said I want to put in a bunch of hands until I am completely comfortable here.

EDIT: I only have rakeback at FT atm (I transfered from PS) but it has kept me sane so far lol.

Still coasting at micros - having fun w PLO 6max and PLO8 FR ($2, $5, and $10), haven't played NLHE for a while now. If you think micro play is bad in NLHE, try PLO8, it's truly terrible (nut peddling is very profitable).

Cheers for the Tip :icon_sant
