Sometimes I drink beer while playing, but no more than 1-2 bottles. Of course I could drink more, but I think playing poker and alcohol is a bad combination

Guys, it says: Don´t drink and drive.
Alcohol helps in certain situations as long as you don´t overdo it.
Why? Because it makes you less nervous, anxious and helps you to concentrate and play your a-game. It also helps not to tilt. At least for some people like for me.

In fact, poker and alcohol are completely incompatible things, especially if you don't know how to drink. If you got drunk and sat down to play, it's just madness and wasted money.
But, if you want to relax a little in the game, then there is nothing wrong with that.

Usually, after a day, I am very tense and some thoughts just prevent me from focusing on the game. This is the feeling when problems don't want to let you go and you make the wrong decisions over and over again under the pressure of your own thoughts. In this case, when I open a bottle of beer, pour a glass of wine or drink 100 grams of whiskey, I relax a little and let go of some thoughts, I really play well.
Considering that I play at least 1 tournament every night, of course I don't drink every time, but once or twice a week it can be a bottle of beer or 100-200 milliliters of whiskey/ rum/ gin /vodka.

When I play a live tournament that begins in the morning I will start off with a grapefruit juice, preferably pink. Otherwise I will drink rum and Coke, which has become a tradition with me since my blackjack days. I'm very very big on traditions.

I've never drunk before and I don't think about even drinking alcohol or other substances. I love sports and it's better than alcohol. Especially if you play poker, you'd better not drink at all because it has a very bad effect on the brain and you start thinking poorly, but it works differently for all people, so it helps someone play better

Having a sharp mind is good, but drinking soft drinks does not guarantee it. Do you see the consumption of alcohol or not depends on each person's lifestyle, and how he feels good.
