Yes, I rarely play with a medium-level hand (such as “KJ” or “A9”) in situations where I won the previous hand. I may be revealing part of my poker strategy, but this is my main superstition.

I don’t really believe in lucky seats or cards, but I do have a small routine before playing. Getting comfortable, checking my mindset and starting focused probably helps more than any superstition. ♠️

I don't really have any poker superstitions. For me, being superstitious about poker would be like believing that poker is a game of luck or bad luck

Yes, I have one- concerning bankroll management. If I get several personal bad beats in a row- it means it's not my day. So rather that chasing my losses and lose more money, I will get up and leave.

I don't really consider myself a super superstitious person, but after a brutal run of bad beats, sometimes you start wondering! - Personally, I always keep a tennis ball or a fidget spinner next to me when I play...playing with them when I'm in a tight spot feels like it brings me good luck - or at least helps me stay calm.

Do any of you have a specific lucky item or a routine you do before a session to bring good luck? Or is it all just nonsense to you?...

I don’t really have a lucky charm, but I can understand the fidget spinner idea. 😂 If it keeps you calm during a tough spot, maybe it’s not luck you’re carrying, it’s just better decision-making.

I have a superstition. I start playing poker in the morning, but I only start playing after making coffee, without making coffee before I don't play haha coffee gives me energy and luck in my head.

Honestly, I think it's mostly nonsense. I don't believe a lucky object or a ritual can change the cards or the outcome of a hand. If playing with a tennis ball or a fidget spinner helps someone stay calm and focused, that's fine. But I think the real advantage comes from making good decisions, controlling your emotions and understanding the game. After a few bad beats, it's easy to start looking for some kind of luck or bad luck, but in the end, poker is about probabilities and decisions, not lucky objects

You only need to look at the GGPoker lobby to find players who turned a mere $1 into cash prizes ranging from $8,000 to $30,000. That is the definition of getting lucky and hitting the jackpot. Regular players, on the other hand, do not rely on luck because they understand that poker probabilities stabilize as their volume of play increases.

Personally, I don't have one either. 😂 About 10 years ago, when I used to watch the wsop, you could often see something like this at the tables: top players would be sitting there with all kinds of lucky charms and little toys. 😂 These days, though, it seems like that trend has died out. I was watching this year's WSOP and only a few players had anything like that. That's when I first realized that a lot of poker players are pretty superstitious.

I don't really have a lucky charm, but I do have little routines before I play. I think they are more about getting my head in the game than actually bringing luck. After a few bad beats though, I might start blaming anything I can find lol.

I don't really believe in big superstitions or lucky charms, but I do have a small routine. I prefer to have a clean desk and a fresh cup of tea or water before starting a long online session. It helps me stay calm and focused. For me, a comfortable environment is much better than any luck!
