I prefer to always stay quiet, whatever happens, I always like to be focused on my game and be attentive to take note of each opponent, because if I start talking I always lose concentration and start to lose bounces and many errors.

No, I don't prefer to chat while playing poker, it happens very rarely.

It distracts me from concentrating on playing poker, although I can't say that's why I don't use chat, since sometimes I watch youtube, or something else while playing poker, which interferes with my concentration. I'm going to have to get it out of the habit.

Chatting while playing poker just doesn’t attract me.

Talking affects me none, unless I'm sitting with someone I'm trying to get to know but even then if it's not a she, I'm fine. Music with lyrics affect me though!...

Depending on how comfortable I feel. And just depends on the conversation. But for the most part I won’t talk unless someone has something insightful to discuss. Not gonna just sit and talk politics or economy at the poker table.

Not for Me

I generally do not talk during a game

Since I don't have a microphone set up on my computer,
I must type-chat which is not practical for me during a game

It distracts me from observing the table action,
sometimes affecting my betting decisions

I would rather just focus on the table and not on the chat

But I like it live, it's really cool to talk to the crowd, even more if your friends are at the table.

It's a strategy!

No! I absolutely can't stand chatting during a tournament. It may be a strategy though because the last time someone was chatting at a table I was at, I couldn't focus on my game. The guy was complaining about the site we were on and how he couldn't win anymore. I wanted to tell him "talk less, play better" but before I could I had accidently went all in and lost. So maybe it's a strategy?

I do sometimes to kinda break the ice in some tourni's depending on a hand that was played, like for instance I get a bad beat but I sometimes do to kinda throw players of their game sometimes doesn't work all the time but I mean nthn tried nthn done... But i don't mind tlkn during a game just not into the racist chatter
