I have not had a losing year yet. However, I play mostly freerolls, low limit SNGs, and $1 MTTs.

I use the freeroll wins to play the low limits. This makes it hard to have a losing year.

Grinded freeroll tourneys to build my bankroll. So everything is basically profit. Somewhere along the way I got the crazy idea to become a good cash game player, so I started and the lowest limits to grind up even tho I was rolled to play higher. Glad I did or would have lost much of my roll when I tried cash games. That's where you'll find me getting kicked in the face daily by variance. :)

+500$ (including losses) grinding from 0 without rakeback or bonusses - which I don't seem to be worthy for  .

If I do get rakeback one day (or get comfortable at PS ) it might really start growing.

I understand you're making a point here. And, I would agree that a significant amount of players lose. And, the vast majority either lose or come close to breaking even. Most of these estimates are thrown around quite a bit. I wonder if anyone has any specific documented stats in this area. I know many on CC use tracking web sites but, do they or anyone else release statistics on all players as a group?

Over the life of my online play I am definetely down, I donked off alot of chips and money when I was first starting out, I just deposited $30 in early November on Full Tilt and it is sitting at about $272 and change right now, I've been sitting in this range for a couple weeks, can't seem to break the $300 barrier, I play really small stakes however, $5 6man SnG is where you will find me.

I've managed to cash out well over a million pennies. Not a huge amount in almost five years, but it's hard to complain about making money from a hobby.

Since I never deposited money since back in the PartyPoker being legal in the states days, I am up around 1k from grinding private freeroll winnings. Most of it came in the form of 450 bucks in my deepish run (40something out of 25k) in the sunday 250k on stars, that I posted a rail here a while back. Anyway, I coulda been up a lot more if I had played those freeroll winnings a little better. Couldnt have done it without those CC freerolls tho lol.

I'm up on both Pokerstars and FTP. Have won a few tournaments on both to keep some bad runs at SnG's from having to make a deposit. I do enjoy playing and have no expectations at making a living at this. Tyring to stay profitable and having fun is what keeps me playing.

I'm up but not by much. It seem I can never break into the next level...I think the poker gods dislike me.

Yes, but how much have you lost? :bawling:

ooooh smack :)

I've only deposited on UB PS and FT, whatever their minimums were a couple years ago (certainly less than $75 total), and now I have somewhere right around $200.

I only play micro stakes except in training (I play some $3.40, 9 man sit-n-gos for practice).

Only three weeks ago I had a total of about $75, but my coach has really helped me pick up my game.

Even thinking about "playing" with hundreds of dollars online makes me ill, I make a decent salary but it's still all spent before payday. I haven't borrowed 5 cents on over two years so my situation is slowly getting better, but I don't know how much I would have to have in "expendable cash" to play like some of you all.

ramble ramble:rolleyes:
