You can not give up, because on the next day in your consciousness is again the thing, which you makes you feel again to start playing poker. The best thing to do when you are facing a bad beat after bad beat is to do not care and to take the things not so nervous. Take a break and play again. One day everything will be with you and you will win something.

On the other hand, if you are facing too much bad beads that can be from not playing the hands good and taking the wrong decisions. I think it is a mix from both two things as I told. Do not give up, take a break, do some other things or exercises and come up back . That is the therapy in poker.:)

It happens every now and then.
People stay away from poker for a while and that's OK. But you may never know when you will give it another try :)

lately i've been playing a lot less than before! so many bad beats made me think about giving up, many people say that there is variance but is that all hand? every tournament? I'm disappointed!
Every time. Normally its comum this bad hands. A long time i had same sensation, but depends How much you strive to really achieve your goals. Dont lie for you. If you put on all of your efforts, stay focus man.

At a distance, earn those who play, study, work in software and practice every day in order for poker to become profitable and bring some money to the right plow.No one thinks about becoming a good surgeon you need to study for 7 years and still practice.Poker is no different from this profession. But here every novice player takes a scalpel and begins to operate, and then wonders why the bankroll is dead.If you are not one of those who think otherwise stop deceiving yourself, drop this case.Take poker seriously or send it to hell.

How often a person gives up if something doesn't work out. It all depends on his character and willpower. I believe that there is always a way out. It is because of the lack of willpower that many do not achieve their goal and do not become successful, and someone, despite all the obstacles and difficulties, does not cease to lose heart, pulls himself together and continues to go towards the goal. How many people have not become successful because of this. Everyone sees the situation in his own way, for someone the problem seems insoluble, but for someone the same problem is a mere trifle. You cannot tell a person if something does not work out for him, then that he is a failure and it is very easy, because everyone has a different mindset, temperament, and perception of certain things.

I get frustrated for various reasons but never think about quitting poker.

As I have noted before, no matter how my game fairs I still love watching poker and will cue up an EPT tourney to watch at my lowest moments...and enjoy the hell out of it...which would indicate I am no where near 'over' poker

Probably gonn have to give it again for a while, which sucks, I seem to have some psychological problem where I am getting my innards (like towards the heart) all anxious and shit (hjard to explain) everytime I even get the thought of playing poker

I think the problem is I have worked on life changes and one of them is to reduce my aggressiveness towards life and people in general.

Poker just emphasis everything I dont want to be right now. its like I dont look foward to having to get an aggressive mindset and even if you dont, POKER Make you aggressive and I dunno

I took a year off cause i thought the game was gonna give me heartattack , and it doesnt seem to be any different

I really love the game but its doing a number on me. Take some days off and everything fines, fire up some table and within hours My stomache gets all tensed up, IM like stretching my midsection to stretch myself it seems. I make jokes at home that its like my stomache is tied to the cards on the table

anyways I gotta find out what pressure Im putting on myself that causing all this or pokers is history

lol, I have thought that more than a few times. I have also stopped playing almost altogether several times. It is good to take a break from the game for a bit.
As it is right now for me, I play a couple of our tourneys a week. I felt I was playing too many tourneys and not concentrating on my game.

I used to have all that anxiety, I now; play my cards the way I feel I should and try not get too worried about just one hand or tourney. I used to try and change the was I played at first because of a bad beat, then I realized if I have my chips in good....it is not my fault if a river miracle happens.

I have never quit permanently, but I have taken many long breaks. I think my mind continues to think about poker subconsciously during these breaks as I usually come back a stronger player.

It is a game I like because it is exciting, so I do not make thoughts of giving up! I think you must calm down and don 't press too much yourselve and don 't be impatient. There must be measure!

Countless time I've thought about giving up poker. But usually I take break as long as 30days and usually by then my mindset has reset. Never have quit all together it's just such fun game.
