I think it would have had to originate from it not being real money, similar to like say magic the gathering. Where one plays the game but can also win cash from tournaments if that makes sense. Given the fact there’s stakes is what makes poker what it is in the sense it separates the casuals from those who take it seriously.

No, the feeling of success for me is when I get into ITM.
Without money, there is not much enjoyment in it, because there is no restraining force to go all in, as can be seen in playmoney games.

It is for now that most people are of the opinion that money is intrinsically related to poker. it is an indispensable part. The game itself is already very well designed, but outdated at its root without the money. Well, it is what it is. I keep asking myself how so many other types of games and diverse competitions, even less elaborate than poker, can be played with so much emotion, for the simple pleasure of winning or overcoming the opponent.

For me it would still be a great game, but it also would lose it's touch. The money that is involved in Poker really makes up for the thrill. The game is so attracting to me, because their is always something to lose or something to win, which really is the best part of poker.

At first when I started to learn the rules, I played a little bit on Pokerstars with play money.
But I'll be honest, if already playing with real money the guys play the way they play, imagine with play money it would be a catastrophic.
I believe that when real money is involved, the game becomes more exciting, it gets more spicy, with play money it would be monotonous, it wouldn't be fun, people would get tired easily and play anyway.

Poker not involving money becomes another game, but I still think it's still an excellent game. I believe that the fact that money is involved makes it more exciting and different decisions are made.

I played the wsop video game 🎮 and I loved 🥰 it .I love strategy games ♟ cause I am a thinker 🧐 so even if money 💴 wasn’t involved I would still play and I play chess ♟ if I was playing chess for money I would not like it that much.I think 🤔 that money sometimes takes the pureness out of games.

IMO poker, like other card games, can be a great activity to have with your family and/or friends and at least in my case, this activities don't involve money(though when I play with my friends, sometimes we use small amounts of money just to make some people take the game seriously...), so my answer is yes- if poker didn't involve money it would still be an amazing game

Friend, every "joke", football, card games, started with no money, every competition, one wanting to know who is the best, with time awards were placed, for example in the old olympics, it was given to the champion. laurel leaves....

for example when I play poker here at home, it's worth beans, others play with fictitious chips, and others with money to give more emotion.......

poker or any other form of competition... over time it had more fans and participants and evolved into professional competitions and tournaments.....
