ok here's the secret to playing 100nl FR: You wait until Rex and tb are playing and sit on their left ;).

Well, if you ever sit on my left at a cash table, i'll go for the most +EV option and stand up from the table...

I'm building a long-term meta-game image versus Zach, which I will cash in when we first sit together at a 1000nl table. imo, afaik.

Zach is way ahead of you on the whole meta-game thing, Rex. He did not cbet at all in 2008, so now while he has started cbetting 90% in 2009, all the regs are folding as soon as his mouse is only just getting close to the bet button. :D

LOL. From all the whining and crying you did over here I thought you were actually losing moneyzz at poker lately.

Actually I haven't posted a thing about playing in about a week. At the new year I went on a lovely 8 buyin straight downswing that I cried about ... but I am trying to put a new mental outlook on things and not get caught up in emotional things when I lose rather than analyze what is happening and why I am losing.

For more detailed numbers you can look in my blog, the data is there. But as it is, I am enjoying 9-tabling fullring as its enough action to keep my attention, rather than 6-tabling 6max. If anyone has some solid 100nl FR advice in terms of gametimes or actual "regs to avoid" let me know.

I don't know any 100NL FR reg that I would specifically stay away from. Most all of them are nits or weak TAGs that can be easily exploited. One that I have noticed that is pretty good is jroc***f. No one else really stands out

He is hands down the #1 reg at 100nl FR imo. Actually not just imo I think he tops the money won category on tableratings pretty consistently. He doesn't mega-table or play as much as most and instead practices good table selection so he's relatively easy to avoid. But yeah he's good.

edit: Just checked and what I said was false, but he is #6 and his winrate is an extra 2 PTBB/100 over anyone above him. So not #1 in money, but crushes in terms of winrate.

Yup, he's got notes not to tangle with him, but he's not as ubiquitous as some so he's not a huge issue.

Look for Wxxxxxxx Pxxxk and you'll be ok :)

Got me to browse TR for a few minutes and found this. Seriously how is this possible, even for HU? 18BB/100 over 200k hands. Guy won at $3.5/hand even tho vast majority of his hands are nl1k/nl600. What i would give for a graph that looks like that. I just don't see how anybody could maintain a winrate like that above nl100 (and tbh not even there coz of the cut rake takes). Must bumhunt to the EXTREME.

sick sick sick, table selecting pro. Probably better at table selecting than playing

Well winrates are naturally higher in HU because for example especially high-stakes a typical 6max table is probably 4-5 solid regs and a fish. At HU if you table-select well you are always HU with the fish. Also you answered your own question

Just refuse to play any player with half a brain and only play HU against rich idiots. Sounds like a good way to profit to me :).

The downside is that since he clearly has never played a reg in his life, he'd probably have to be online all day, 0 or 1 tabling most of the time, so hands/hr would be horrific.

Lawls

I bet he's the highest profiting 0 tabler on the net. :)

Imagine how much bigger that 660K bottom line would be if he was actually good at playing too!

just faced the sharkscope leaderboard number 1 again, and extended the record to 4 wins 0 losses and had him complaining yet again. Basically he is really nitty pre, so i min raise every button and just slowly grind him down, then we got it in, him with top 2 pair + low draw + straight draw, me with bottom set + flush draw and my hand held, had him complaining how my stretegy of raising every button is donkish and i should learn how to play, and stop, and i quote, 'boneing him with garbage'

I actually make an effort to play him now, how many other people can say they hunt out the best player at their stakes to play huh huh
