lol I can't win. Took the day off from the grind and watched some videos (Chuck's was great for all Stox members). Then figured may as well play a game I know I can crush and can't lose too much in, 50nl HU. 5 buy-ins later and I know otherwise. Even felt like I was playing really well. I was playing great in all the small pots but the big pots I was just always out-flopped. This crazy monkey hit 2-pair/set on me like 4 times (he was doing such random shit, overshoving my flop cbets, which I finally called one with bottom 2 and he flopped a set of course :(). Then the other guy was a super-nit that I was running over and then I shove 2 combo draws into him and he has overpair once and TPTK the other and of course I lose both coin flips, one of these like 200 BBs deep (he had overpair, honestly he was such a nit he may have folded TP in that spot). But w/e at least it's only like one 200nl buy-in. I'll be back at it tomorrow, still debating on whether or not to play the major mtts. On the one hand they're soft and I'm due. On the other hand tourneys suck.

Also debating on whether to just give up on sne and table select across both FTP and Stars. I know I can do sne but just thinking about it I'm pretty sure the winnings I get from better table selection, not 24-tabling, not playing when I really am not on my game, and just playing in general better poker will be more than the benefits of sne. I just need to make sure I set an alternative goal for hands and don't slack on that. I'm still playing full-time and still need to put in hands to make an income. But on the other hand sne is pretty sweet. Definitely not for sure giving up yet, and regardless will be grinding a marathon week when I do finally get the new laptop.

How much is sne worth in BB/100 at the stakes you currently play?

About 1, but that's total. If I play normal without sne I probably get about half benefits (plus they're all in cash, rather than part of it being entry fees although I'll probably end up doing the PCA anyway). So like 0.5 extra for sne and not only is it less if/when I finally do permanently move up but a higher winrate will get me to move up faster so it's even less than that. All in all basically it looks as if the only way I'll do sne is basically if I can get close with no extra trouble. If I can grind sngs or w/e during double vpp week and get to the point where even a 150k vpp month in December gets me sne, I'd probably do it. But a normal rate would probably put me closer to 600k vpps and since that's the case I'll probably instead play some at FTP meaning that I won't have any chance in the world of coming close to sne at Stars. Anyway bottom line is that higher winrate also = less downswings, less stress, easier to put in hands. On the other hand I'm going to make absolutely sure it's worth it to go to FTP because their support is just horrid and I'm still kinda nervous putting my money over there after the cases where they just took the rolls without explanation. I know it's rare, but I want to be as sure I can trust them if I plan to have 5 figures over there, and right now I just don't.

idk we'll see how it goes, but basically short answer to your question is that it's a small part of a normal winrate and sacrificing that winrate for the sne bonus winrate is silly. If I can 24-table 6 hours a day and still win at 2-3 PTBB/100 and get better and move up then I'll go for sne. If I can't I won't, simple as that. I'm not gonna be a wojtasxxPolak.

100nl or 200nl?

Anyway, it's not huge, so obviously if striving for that affects your win rate, it's not really such a good deal.

FWIW, at FTP I got about 1 BB/100 in RB at 50nl and 0.7 BB/100 at 100nl (both in ptbb, at full ring), a little more counting the FTP points and the ironman stuff.

This is what I get for slow-playing :p, lesson learned imo.

Also, I have auto top-up turned on, but it doesn't always work for some weird reason. Like I will literally check the option a billion times and make sure it's enabled and it still won't reload me ffs!

Funny you mention this...I had a dream last night that I was 4-tabling 100NL with a 4BI roll. I think I remember I lost like half of it and woke up. Is it sad that this was like a nightmare to me?

I accidently play 2/4 (and for the first time no less) and make a hero call on the river. It took me a little while to understand what had happened, because when he minraised preflop, the chips didn't look right, but the bet size - $8 - did. Very confusing.
