So, I was wondering. Do you play multi-table tournaments as your main game? Or do you play cash also? Or SNGs?

MTTs are my strong suit and I play at least 10 a week including the Sunday warm-up. Six-figure win this year is in my financial plan

I've been playing ring since last Jan/Feb trying to work it out. Got from 25nl to 200nl and then back to 100nl (after 75k 200nl hands at 0.8BB/100 sucked the life out of me). Will be a long while before I consider myself a decent cash player.

As with most, started with SnGs but haven't played any for a couple of years, other than the hellish DON I tried last night cause all the cool kids we doing it.

my god, don't think i've ever been so tilted about a 0 buyin swong. 2 sng's, in 1 have opponent down to 74 chips, proceed to lose 7 all ins, 5 with the best hand, 2 with 45% equity, and lose :(, while simultaneously having someone down to 153 chips, losing 3 all ins with the best hand, then get it all in when stacks are even with villain finally drawing dead

Jagsti move to party poker! The play at nl200 is worse than at nl100 IMO.

I'm actually seriously considering it. I just don't seem to fair well against the regs at Stars, read into that what you will! If Party's software wasn't so uber bad, i'd probably jumped at it a while back. Just gotta wait till the end of Feb as I'm hoping to get a little coaching and I'll let him decide how bad I'am before I start making moves to other sites.

The Party software is the biggest piece of trash ever.
Also, they're just not as badass as Pokerstars. When I cash out via Pokerstars, I have the money in my Moneybookers account within 5 seconds. When I cashed out a measly $100 on Party Poker, it took them over a day.

The universe hates me.

My internet has been sporadically disconnecting over the past week.
I was playing 7 tables, first poker I see in 2 days.

Session has not been running long.
I get QQ on 1 table, $7 stack raises, I reraise to $5. While on the other table I flop top set in a 7 way pot. When yes, my internet dies.
It always comes on like 10 secs after but since Everest is so shit there's no such thing as a timebank or discon protection. So I time out on all tables, lose the $5 and miss out on the huge set pot .

I HATE MY LIFE.

30k stack then 88 < KJ for 10k

then A3o < JT for 5k

then shove AJo over a guy who the previous hand had shoved 62s as a bluff on the river (with 6 high) from mid position no less and he turns up with AQ.

At least it took three blows to kill me. :)

PP software isn't all that bad so long you have a big screen and can tile it, because tables don't pop up well if you cascade. VIP program is no where near that of stars if you play high volume (but i don't). Not as many active tables as stars obv (tho it isn't that bad), however, 1/2 seems really quite soft compared to stars, which is probably true in a general sense for the other limits.

It probably helps that the software/support/VIP program isn't up to stars, because not that many grinders will play there and the games should be looser/softer.

Don't get me wrong coz stars is a great site - excellent software, great support, good cashout/deposits - but if you don't play that high volume there really isn't that much point in playing there IMO coz there are softer sites out there and there are better rakeback/bonuses if you don't play high volume.

Though if stars had introduced something whereby HU players didn't get absolutely raped in terms of FPPs and were basically destined to be a silver star getting 3% rakeback, then i probably wouldn't have left. And it isn't even like rakeback has ever constituted more than a tiny fraction of my profit, but i don't see the point in playing at a site that gives you basically 0 rakeback when there are definitely softer sites out there.
