Really? I kind of find it relaxing that most of the time your only decision is "should i push of should i fold?".

Belgo, are you using some sort of ICM software? Not saying I agree or disagree with what you're doing, just find it interesting. I already posted in your thread that I was excited to see the results...also, you're probably 10x better sng player than myself.

This is taken from a real advert for viagra I saw when browsing the New York Times top 20 best sellers list. Had to save it.

Describes my feelings towards January perfectly.

so i came up with a theorem of sorts. it's slightly convoluted, but it goes something like this:

i posit that when a decent or good player insta-checks to you on the river, they are planning to either a) snap off almost any bet, or b) fold to almost any bet. even though these are opposites, this polarization is really helpful. if you have a value hand, bet as much as you can. if you must bluff, you can get away with making it really small, since you're mostly only pushing out the hands that completely give up. with A-high i'd lean towards not bluffing if there's any conceivable whiffed draws that you can beat. obv if they catch on, it doesn't work anymore, but a) this is true for any theory and b) it would take a number of shown down hands in these spots for them to catch on

IME they are usually either checking quickly in complete defeat because they missed their draw or whatever, have almost no SD value, and know there's no point trying to slow you down, or they want to induce you to bet, especially some draw you might've whiffed. marginal hands that really don't want to call another barrel almost always take at least a slight delay before checking, as if they have a decision, to put the fear in you

works best in sizeable pots where at least one reasonable draw missed. i'm sllightly drunk and this might be silly so didn't figure it warranted its own thread or anything :)

From what i've read here, all you can do is play the steps until $215 and either play a $215 tourney or keep going.

F'ing life tilt right now. A guy at my table talks about what quote unquote the book tells him to do for every move. Takes up waaaay too much time doing so. Then I have second nuts with a straight K/J on a Q 10 K 9 board and he slowrolls talking about his "book" and what decision to make only to call with the nuts (A/J)....

No, sorry, that's not all. Someone explain to me how the **** this graph works. I'm crushing 25$NL 6-max, crushing 50$NL 6-max, and then BAM, the ****ing doomswitch kicks in. Like, did I become terrible overnight? Did I pickup a crack habit that's causing me to play like ass? I just don't get it. Idk if I'm just bored with the game, and now I'm spewing around money to entertain myself or if I really just was terrible, and I went on a nice sick heater for ~25K hands.
