Belgo, are you using some sort of ICM software?

Not really. Mostly intuition now. But I did study and review my games with SNGWiz back when i was grinding SNGs (until April 2008)

From what i've read here, all you can do is play the steps until $215 and either play a $215 tourney or keep going.

+1

And tbh, i'm not sure steps 4 and higher are really as much fun. Starts to be expensive enough, so pro SNG grinders will be playing them. Moshman does, for instance. Also, very few of them going on unless you're in the qualifying season for a big live event.

Stud is some swingy shit... that's this month's stud 8 graph.

I think I'm totally incapable of handling the variance the poker is dishing out on me right now.

I honestly couldn't get through the selfish gene. I have a newer version with footnotes and references and stuff that literally take up more than a third of the book. A THIRD. Dawkins in that book reminds me of my annoying friend who argues everything to the death, even when he's wrong. Even though I put Dawkins' intellect level several stories higher than my friend, it still bugs me that the whole book is basically an argument.

The other thing with that book is that the language is honestly just too complex for me. I found myself googling/looking through the dictionary at least once per page. It took me like 3 months to read half the book.
The Selfish Gene was pretty dense, yes. I think The Blind Watchmaker is a much easier read. It doesn't address the same issues as The Selfish Gene, because it focuses on evolution as a whole, not specifically genetics. You definitely don't have to read the one before the other, either; it's not a sequel.

No, sorry, that's not all. Someone explain to me how the **** this graph works. I'm crushing 25$NL 6-max, crushing 50$NL 6-max, and then BAM, the ****ing doomswitch kicks in. Like, did I become terrible overnight? Did I pickup a crack habit that's causing me to play like ass? I just don't get it. Idk if I'm just bored with the game, and now I'm spewing around money to entertain myself or if I really just was terrible, and I went on a nice sick heater for ~25K hands.

Welcome to my world dude. It's not a happy place to be :(.

In other news, still waiting the arrival of my poker BR to hit the bank so I can play on another site. Also It's my Birthday today (and my son's) so were going out for a meal now :).
