I-Poker was weird today. Couldnt find a table that wasnt infested with ratholing shortstacking nits. Avg VPIP was <12% on most of the nl$50 tables, strange considering that every other day ive played its been fine and juicy. Just hope a shit load of bonus whores havnt signed up.

Hmmm, very interesting. I play I-poker ( Titan ) too nl$20 and noticed the exact same thing today. Every table had 50%+ minimum buy-in rats @ FR.
Probably the reason why I lost 2 buy-ins with set v set flops 4 times.

Had a guy at 10nl directly to my right earlier who was 96/67/4, with 550BB's. I finally got into a 3bet pot with him but it didn't go any further than that. :(

Step 1) Experience downswing.
Step 2) Have downswing make you realize you're playing like shit.
Step 3) Read Zachvac's "Anatomy of a Downswing" to realize you can't always run like shit.
Step 4) Profit.

This happened to me previously. I had a horrible downswing because I was getting serious fancy play syndrome & smoking crack & bluffing everywhere. Losing a shit-ton of money knocked some sense into me, and I went on a giant tear.

This could be the start of something.... And look I even got my VPIP under 30 for all you "You're losing because you're so LAGgy" people. Like, coming in with a good mindset and playing your A game is just so important to winning.

Now tell me how results oriented I am.

Quick 20mins on nl$50 on i-poker, and it seems fishy as hell during the day.

At work now so no HH. Anywhoo.

AQ otb vs limper in MP. I raise, he flats. AAQ flop, I get check min-raised, so i min re-raise, he shoves. He shows 22 for the flopped underpair and my boat holds .

AA from the bb, I raise x8 over 3 limpers, 2 calls. Flop AxJ I bet, get shoved on and he flips 66 for another flopped underpair. My set holds.

Fun times. Awaiting the ineviatable variance.

(dont know what a flopped underpair is but its sounds fun)

so...

One of these days I'm going to actually have a nice healthy, consistent month...

Is there anything more painful than a kidney stone?

I'm on life tilt so bad right now.

/just had surgery to get the damn thing out
//hopefully back to the tables in a few days

Delivering a baby without a peridural. Of course, delivering the stone lasts a lot longer.

I'm not sure if its more or less painful since I've never had a kidney stone, but damn did this hurt.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pneumothorax

Had a spontaneous pneumothorax when I was 16. The procedure to fix it included drilling a hole into my side and sticking a tube in there. I had to have the tube stuck in my side for 2 days. Then, when it was done, I got to have a mean nurse rip the tube out of me. By far the most excruciating pain I've ever been in.

Here's a link to a description of the procedure if u want all the details.

Quick question about 3bet sizes.

Everybody realises the 3-4BB raise + 1BB per limper but about three bets...

Say we are in the hijack with AKs and villian from MP1 raises it up to 4xBB
what is our re raises, is it 3x his raise, 3x the pot I have heard both.

What are general rules of thumb for 3beet raises?

there's no rule of thumb IME, you can make it bigger or smaller depending on what your intentions for that bet are
