Not even going to read your post tbh. You know the drill. Cool off, get back into HEM, review your hands to see if you could have played better, improve, get back to the tables tomorrow. Just wait til -1k is your typical bad day :)

Yeah I guess the silver lining is that I don't have the impulse to set any buildings on fire or blow anything up or hurl any inanimate objects into the ocean. And I do know the drill, just time to cool off and NOT think about poker at all. so.... until then.

Played some 100nl FR on Full Tilt. idk if it's just because it's the weekend but it was super fishy.

Weekend and you moving down a level, imo. I actually feel that PS is fishier than FTP, but only play PS on weekends so it's biased too.

+2 buy-ins in 600 hands. 12-tabled for about an hour and if I just did that every day next month I'd be getting free Stox+CR, whatever the ironman shit is for getting iron, and like $350 in rakeback (assuming the HEM rake figure is correct)

HEM rake figure is correct afaik. But the tables being less loose on weekdays, rake will be a bit lower than you experienced on weekends.

FTP players what kind of scripts do you use?

I use

http://www.overcards.com/wiki/moin.cgi/FullTiltPlanner

and

http://www.overcards.com/wiki/moin.cgi/FullTiltBuddies

but it does not click time bank or help with bet sizing (i use the bet pot button for rough sizing and adjust manually). I only play 6 tables most of the time, so i don't feel the need for more than that, but if you want to play 12+, you should most likely buy

I just had my worst day ever. Dropped -$450. Feels horrible. I am sad. Whine whine, bitch bitch. I am sure someone will come along to kick me right in the nads after i post this. yay for that too.

Well, you and have been playing the same stakes and moving up at the same time for quite some time, so of course i had my first -$400+ day two weeks ago too, Ice. Felt kind of bad, tbh, even though i think i'm more zen about it, but that's probably because $$$ is not real money for someone living in eurozone.

Anyway, winning more than $2k since then really put it all in the right perspective. These things do come and go, but long term we profit. Pretty sure it will be fine for you too. That is, if you stop 3bet shoving 2nd nut flush into a paired board when your value bet gets min-raised on the river...

to be fair, the guy was pretty obviously a huge fish. first of all he wasn't full stacked and he open limped K3o UTG+1. so if he minraises all his flushes and can never get away from a shove, both incredibly likely parameters for a fish, we stack enough weaker flushes for there to be value in a shove

hopefully it was opponent-dependent and icemonkey realizes against anyone competent (or merely tight) at all, you should just call river

yeah, maybe villain dependent. Maybe this one is bad enough to stack trips too, and then the shove is super good. :)

Actually, shoving is only good if villain stacks trips. Under flushes are not enough.

He can have 24 combos of 33,88,K3,K8 for a boat, excluding AK,KK,AA that he would probably play differently. He can also have 8 combos of nut flushes to beat us.

There are only 28 combos of smaller flushes, and that includes villain opening UTG+1 with 92s and crap like that, which i doubt unless his vpip is 100.

24+8 > 28, so shoving is bad even if he calls with all smaller flushes. We need trips in his calling range to make it +EV.

You can't unless someone else flops a boat.

I much prefer flopping a set than quads, tbh. Also, I prefer middle set to top set. You need villain to have something to pay off your big hands.

well he limped UTG+1 w/ K3o, so certainly he could have anything sooted :)

but yeah, apparently it's much closer than i thought just glancing at it. i wouldn't be surprised if he's bad enough to stack trips, but it's still cutting it very thin. so apparently you're probably best off basically never shoving in that spot, even though it can reach a point where it's so marginal it almost doesn't matter

either way, can't say it was a terrible play vs. a fish in the moment since you don't really have time to sit there and count combinations. the actual math reveals some interesting insight though. since flushes rely on both cards being an exact suit, it really cuts down on the possible combos, so i guess that's something to think about

thx belgo

yeah, i agree. That's why it's important to count them here so we get the right insight later on.

Just have bad history with it. Bought a jersey from a 99+ rep guy back in the day when $100 was like everything to me, and not only did he not send me the jersey but didn't reply to any of my emails or anything.

Will take anohter look at it though.

If you pay through paypal then they have to prove they have sent it via a parcel number etc so they cant get out of it. They then are fined and your money back when they dont provide proof.

Yeah, ebay/paypal's security measures were something I wasn't aware of back then...

I do aorn though! Think I'm about to buy nes/snes/64 today with all the classic games today!

It's well worth the $200 or whatever I'll spend total on all 3 systems and a shitload of games to have them for myself rather than some program on my PC. Emulators are sick, but I really want the systems :)

I must have missed that post somewhere lol, well have fun!
