Actually, shoving is only good if villain stacks trips. Under flushes are not enough.

He can have 24 combos of 33,88,K3,K8 for a boat, excluding AK,KK,AA that he would probably play differently. He can also have 8 combos of nut flushes to beat us.

There are only 28 combos of smaller flushes, and that includes villain opening UTG+1 with 92s and crap like that, which i doubt unless his vpip is 100.

24+8 > 28, so shoving is bad even if he calls with all smaller flushes. We need trips in his calling range to make it +EV.

NOTE: commenting about this hand: http://www.pokerhandreplays.com/view.php/id/255077

Villain in that hand is ... you guessed it ... a 52/18/3. I saw him payoff a value-bet half-stack at the river holding 35 for a pair of 5s on a 6TQ54 board. Villain dependent shove? You bet your ass it was.

It was, at the end of the day, a terrible stack off. Given the villains range of 52% I'm still woefully behind at the river if you stick the numbers in Pokerazor.

Anyways a night sleep and I feel better.

You can't unless someone else flops a boat.

I much prefer flopping a set than quads, tbh. Also, I prefer middle set to top set. You need villain to have something to pay off your big hands.

flopping low quads is aight though... if you got 55 and board is 558, 8 pays you, 99-AA pays you, maybe a lower pair might if they suck. :D :D

KK flop quads sucks to get value out of though

Does anyone know how far the bad beatbeat jackpot tables on party cut into your winrate ? Some on 3+3 said it was 1.5ptBB/100 at 200nl so probably more at lower stakes..

it's enough that I think unless the games are ridiculously juicy, there's no use in playing them.

Matter of fact, wtf are you doing on party poker?

just bet river on the smallish side yourself, you'll get paid off by all sorts of two pairs that will check behind too much. more than makes up for a few cents of rake when you chop

If you're going to buy the pro version of HEM, you might want to consider joining Stox before you do. As a Stox member you can get the Pro version of HEM for $45. Since the Stox monthly cost is $28, you save $7 over just buying HEM straight out and you get to check out Stox for a month. If you have 5K Full Tilt points you can join Stox with those and then buy HEM for $45.

KC if you play on Full Tilt you can earn memberships through the points you collect as apart of their free training thing

but i'll go out on a limb and say you'd get alot out of being a member and you would be happy the more time you spend there

man, i want to try to play 50k hands at 1/2 NL FR on ftp in february. i wonder if i can get any prop bets on that (with odds), cause i sorely need the motivation

background: i've never played more than 10k cash game hands in a month, ever. i've never played more than 2k hands in a day, ever. i've played more than 1k hands in a day two times in my life. i'm an incredibly lazy sob. i don't and won't be mass-multitabling, i only play 6-9 tables

anyone think i'd be able to find action on this for 2:1? i think it'd be massively +EV for anyone betting against me, but hopefully also +EV for myself since it would motivate me to play
