imagine you are in a final table a have AA and BB is chip leader and goes all in.... and nobody calls, it just you to call... you Fold or Call ?? I´m Going to tell you the rigth answer.... It depends how lucky is threath you at that moment if you had have some bad luck in some hands better fold and wait, if you had have good results at that time better call. Luck is like sub atomic particles, it is all about chance, probability, momentum..

First of all, it all depend on my hold card if i have the strength to make the call. Secondly i need to calculate the ICM if it's worth making the call. Lastly, i will look for tells if he open all in with strength or just ICM pressure because he is in the chip lead.

I don't understand what you mean by "imagine you are in a final table a have AA and BB is chip leader".
If you mean my hold card is Aces(AA), then i will make the call no matter what chip count i have and regardless if the lowest stack will be busted on his next hand.
If you mean i have Aces(AA) and the leader is the Big Blind which shove me all in, you should have asked if i bet preflop and which position were both of us at.
All these need to be considered before making a decision.

You ask me a question but you deem a 'Right Answer' before i even get to respond. How can you make the correct decision on my behalf? Most importantly, in my personal opinion, there's no Correct or Wrong decision in poker, only Winning or Losing outcome.

I viewed your profile and you stated that you have been playing poker since 12?!?!
Gosh, that means you have been playing for at least a decade or so, isn't it? Did you actually depend on Luck playing poker all these years? You must be the proud owner of the 'Lucky Holy Bible' that God has been smiling over you since 12.

I mentioned to you earlier and i'm repeating myself again.
Until it's proven that you found a solution to improve on Luck, you or nobody should depend on it to play poker. And if you did, please don't say you are a poker player, you are merely a Gambler.

Hi, thetzarofpoker! I'm not agree with you, that Luck is a basic thing, because then Poker
would be called Casino! First of all, Poker is a game of Skill, and only next going the Luck!
When the Skill player and Luck connect -- this is ideal variant! Hence, when no Luck, this means
only one: need to do pause... That all! In the pause will time more to work above your Skill:
this is best solution fill a pause! And after with new forces may be will to continue...
And then, early and lately, Skill and Luck connect! Therefore: patience, patience, and more patience, and etc!.. I think so...:cool:

Luck is a common part of your karma. If the player is unlucky in life, he will lose in the game. Good luck to everyone is supportive and always gives everyone a chance, just some do not understand it. Good luck accompanies purposeful, persistent and positively-minded players. Intuition in the factor of luck also plays an important role.

In my opinion having Luck is Essential to be a winner, lets talk about experiences, definitions, ways to call it, and ways to deal and manage it.. :icon_cycl

I think this could be very interesting and we can try others people methods they share..
Poker has a lot of luck involved and we are took to think to win is needed luck only. But in the long run the luck influency is diluted among our skill played results, because when we take a conciously profitable strategy, luck or bad luck happens few times and in a controlled enviroment.
Luck is exception. All bad results is all ourselves fault.

This topic is of interest to many people and everyone has an opinion. And everyone has an argument to support their opinion.
I agree with those who say that luck is an important part of poker, but knowledge is more important.
I think this is because players who go all-in with 2.7 different cards of a different color and are lucky enough to win a hand , can't really meet the final table

desagree.. not always estrategy works, luck always works--- it change constantly thats the secret..

There is no secret or consistency with luck. It runs both ways and in the long run should not be a factor. It is something someone should accept that has odds.

Great quote from Thomas Jefferson:

“I’m a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it.”

Do you run hand history to find out any leaks? Does any hands fall below the odds of winning? If most of the hands are within the odds of winning, then you have successfully gain control of luck. If not, it could be way you are playing that hand.

If nothing rings true, then good luck. Said with all definitions.

It's about knowing the math enough, and player ranges, to beat variances (luck), not focusing on luck itself.

Do you have such a big ego?

Anyone playing poker who doesn't believe that luck plays a big part in their game has an ego much too big for their head.

Luck?

Good morning everyone.
No luck, no way to win in poker.
Because whenever a villain is playing an all-in pokerstars, where he has more chips he wins even though he is far behind the pre flop?

To win any particular hand you need to be lucky. Even if you go all in with AA against your opponent's 72, you win because you were lucky, not because you had AA.

Grinding and using a solid strategy will increase your chances to be profitable over a long period of time, but to win any particular hand, session, or tournament, you have to have luck.

From the emojis I understand you started with a joke, and became sarcastic at the end :)

Let's Talk About Luck

Right now I have had BAD LUCK for the past three weeks. Thank goodness I am not losing my own money. I am a recreational player who only plays freerolls until I have built up a bankroll to play in micro money games, usually tournaments. Right now I have lost approximately $55 dollars and am left with $4.88 dollars.

If I see my bad luck continuing I just stop for that day.

I have never ever used my own money as I find I am not good enough to do so playing online poker.

I do have this hate, love relationship with online poker. Right now I hate it, so I am not playing for awhile. :ahhhhh::mad:

A player can go bubble of a tournament with AA and someone equal with 27 and lose the AA and thus always better returns hands to lose the match aces and good hands trying to survive and enter prize there bad luck going to wonder why always in that situation and involves luck but you have to survive that's my point, but obviously if you have the luck that there do is try to affect us so often is inevitable at first tournament but it's what I think about luck, it's part of the game but we can go outlasting hard blows that always happen
