I was just thinking out loud moreorless.

Basically, i used to be a litle paranoid about ppl bluffing me. I'd also make some spewy bluffs sometimes (bluffing w/ little to no equity in the pot), which would reinforce the idea that ppl can bluff in bad spots (since i was doing it). Net result is that i would often call down quite light, and pick off alot of bluffs (and also get owned sometimes). So once i fixed it and started to understand poker better, i think there is a tendency to assign similar thought processes to poorer players. For instance, it becomes a little hard to believe that somebody could just spaz out with only one overcard, because it is just such a horribly spewy play. But bad players don't think like this and don't make plays that make sense, so when something looks "odd" you probably shouldn't assign much logic to it (for ex. if villain shouldnt' be bluffing in a spot but they are betting, it probably means they are just running a horrible bluff rather than they are at the top of their range).

Was in relation to switch talking about fish value betting bottom pair when you snap off a bluff w/ A high because they shouldn't have much they can bet on the river in that circumstance. It doesn't make the read any less correct than if villain showed up with air, it is just a situation where a fish is making a play that makes absolutely no sense - yet you are assigning sense to a player that is probably incapable of understanding logical poker processes. It's just something i have been thinking of as of late, as i think i've become a little too weak tight in the last while (probably as an overreaction to removing spew and partly as a reaction to constantly running into the top of everybody's ranges for > month) and giving ppl too much credit where it is not deserved. Far too much shitty thinking like "he can't rep much here so surely he wouldn't try to bluff" which definitely works vs good thinking players but is one level above where you should be against a poorer player (ie. they aren't repping much coz they suck at bluffing).

Just checked my e-mail and not a response to either one. Does it really take 24 hours to reply to a simple question? This is one of the biggest reasons they will never be better than Stars. Suck it, FT.

Just sent this to fulltilt after their 3rd email about a $5 bonus they have for me, hopefully this gets me in the elusive rakeback club.

"I'm sorry but a $5 bonus, although a nice thought, will not get me playing at full tilt poker again, i like the site and have no problems with anything except for the small matter of not having rakeback while other (newer) players do, which i find absurd, and a kick in the teeth to loyal players who unfortunately joined before rakeback was introduced.

As i'm sure you all know, poker is about finding a game where you feel you have an edge and exploiting said edge to equal profit, if i am sitting on a table where 50% of the players have rakeback and i do not then they have a significant edge over me and it is not worth my while to play at that table, i have been playing at my local card room for a good 5 years now and if, one day, i went in there, sat at a table and discovered that half the players there were paying less rake than me, and further more, that they had only joined yesterday, then i would not be very happy at all and i would definetly be taking my custom elsewhere.

Alas, there is a solution that could be of benefit to both parties, I currently log around 30-40k hands p/m at another poker site, and although i enjoy it there i am looking to split my bankroll between 2 sites, for superstitious reasons, when i'm running bad at one site i can switch to the other and see if it improves, if i were to be included in the rakeback goodness that is going on at fulltilt then half of my bankroll would certainly be winging it's way through the telephone lines to your site, if you really do want my custom back then this would go a long way to bridge the painful gap that exists between us at the minute, just a suggestion.

Did you sign up through an affiliate or are you just on the list?

From my knowledge if you signed up through affiliate, you are out of luck and if you are on the list then you just gotta wait, but I think most people get it within a few months.

I am not sure I follow your logic really though, who cares how much rake other players pay? The only thing there is jealousy really. If anything its better for other people to get rakeback since its just more money for the losing players to lose to you instead of the site. Obviously you want it to, but its to increase your rate not to make it fair.
