I dropped 5nl. I'm playing 2nl for the month of october.

For someone, I dont feel comfortable MTing 5nl...I have this fear that Im just going to lose it all. And I feel a lot more comfortable playing 2nl. There probably ins't much difference in play, but I think I do a lot more better at 2nl than 5nl because I'm more comfortable and my head is in it more.

I wouldn't be ashamed at making a smart move. If you don't feel comfortable, then moving back down is the right way to do it. Now, go tear up the 2NL.

Almost finished the video series, done 2nl, 5nl, 10nl and 25nl, then up next is 50nl and 100nl and I'll probably finish it with a 200nl video. At this rate I'll have forgotten to beat my usual stakes by the time I reach them though

You're seriously doing a full series? You should package it up and sell it.

After letting a select few of us check it for quality, of course.

:)

Experimenting with stacking, 24-tabled 50nl today, honestly was easier than 18-tabling tiling. Only problem I can see is a tough decision I can't fold trivial hands on other tables while I'm thinking, I have to think, then go all crazy fold fold fold raise call fold fold fold fold bam bam bam bam :). Also when tables break up adding and removing tables is a bit tough, but I think I'll try a bit more tonight and then go for some 100nl 24-table stacking. Also a bit behind my 40k/week pace, but an 8k day tomorrow should make up for it assuming I put in at least 2k hands today.

In other news kid on our baseball team got arrested for alcohol possession and our coach believes in punishment as a team. So practice was a lot of fun today [/sarcasm].

Zach, I don't see how you can stack 24 tables at a time. I have a rough time with 4! Is there anywhere I can go for advice on how to do this effectively? Because it seems like my profit steadies out with mt'ing because I'm not playing so many hands. Thanks in advance.

it's not really something that can be taught, it needs practice.

i used to play a bit of cricket and some video games when i was younger, both of which helped with the ol' hand-eye co-ordination, which probably comes in useful.

best bet is to just settle at a number of tables you are comfortable with adding one at a time and practising until you are comfortable again. i guess everyone will have a natural limit though - some at 6 tables, others at 30.

Multi-tabling Chris has it right. Just gotta practice. Start with 1, increase to 2, get to 4, just keep working and things you used to have to spend time thinking about you don't have to think about anymore.

The thing I think CAN be helpful is having a good set-up. As I mentioned, I think anyone going for maximizing number of tables would do well to stack. I initially hated the idea but as I said, tiling I have a little bit of trouble 18-tabling. Stacking 24-tabling was literally a breeze. Video here btw: https://www.cardschat.com/f53/24-table-stacking-zachvac-50nl-fr-129461/

Ugh, I need to play more. Planning on 10k session tomorrow to make up for the hands I didn't play the last 3 days. At least if I can get this 24-tabling thing working I'll save some time as it's about 1500 hands/hour (not counting starting up and stopping) instead of ~1100. Also, 3/3 in 5400 cashes, so add on another $642 on top of this.

My new goal for OCT is to actually make a deposit on stars and FT and see how 25nl treats me and also try my hand at some larger buy in MTT since I seem to do well in those. I know there is a solid poker player in me just trying to break out
