Note alot of poker this month.
Had to withdraw most of my BR for some bills and personal stuff only left enough for the team event and a few extra bucks to try to rebuild,wount re-deposit until end of this month so hopefully i cash in something and wount go mad from a lack of poker.
Actualy will be playing alot live this month so that makes up for it but live is just so SLOW.
Just bought some poker books witch i just started reading so not all bad.

Ug think i need a week off...every session is like a seesaw and i'm really getting frustrated (and i don't even really know why). Donked off $55 trying those retarded double or nothing sngs, even after saying i wouldn't play sngs ever again. Ran beyond horrible and played even worse. Really pissed me off for some reason even tho it isn't much money. Am now officially done with EVER playing non-fpp buy in mtts/sngs.

Definitely think i'll just go for a "make gold star, don't care about how much money i make" sort of month and try for plat next month, since i just have so much school coming up in the latter half of oct...

Blah, was up over two buy-ins on this guy at 200nl HU, then he obv. slowplays AA and I get it in with AK on AK9, and then lose a 400BB pot with A4dd on T84dd to AA.

I just started started 24 tabling with stacked tables this month, I've done 3 sessions, one has been 1 hour and the other two have been 2.5 hours. It's really not as hectic as you might think, I time out on tables sometimes when I have a decision to make but as long as you have a script that clicks the time bank for you when it comes up it's not that hard

I used to 12 table and have the tables tiled, then I moved to 6-max and could only do 4 or 6 at a time, now I'm on to 24 FR tables stacked and it's not much harder than 12 tiled tables, it's nice not to have to move the mouse much or move your head around looking at the tables.

Well, I finally reached my first 1k hands at the 2nl. I started off strong early, but then just broke even for a while. Its better than being down, but hopefully I can start hitting that upward swing again. Also, anything you notice on my stats that I need to work on? I think my PFR might be a bit low still...

I usually multi-table 4-6 tables, but I decided to give 9 a try. It wasn't as hard as I expected. Once I had the hang of it, it was pretty easy.

Small sample philthy, but your att to steal is way too low, should be nearer to 30%. Try getting your pfr a little higher.

I know sample is small, just want to see what I need improving on earlier rather than later.

Philthy, don't spend too much time at 2NL. Villains there are quite different to what you'll encounter higher up and it's important you don't develop habits that only work there and will be losing you money higher up.

I only plan on playing 2nl for the month of October. I'm not really a cash game player, mostly SNGs, but I wanted to give it a try. I tried starting with 5nl, but I fel so uncomfortable. Even though I have way more than enough to play 5nl and higher, I decided to drop to 2nl since that is where my comfort zone is. Right now, 2nl is just a bit of an expermient to see if I can beat cash games. Im not even sure if I'll stick with cash games after this. Or if I do, I'll probably stay in the micros...

Well, obviously if you don't feel comfortable to play higher you shouldn't, because one of the most important aspect of cash games is that you shouldn't see the chips on the table as money.

Yet, IMO, rings start to be real poker once you play 10NL and higher. On PS, it's the stake where you start playing 100bb deep, which is somewhat a defining factor.

...I don't see it as money. Im just taking this step-by-step is all. I don't feel comfortable jumping into a limit and playing just because I have enough buy-ins to do so. I would rather work from the bottom, build the confidence in my game, work my way up, and make the necessary adjustments as I do. When I feel comfortable with 2nl, I'll move up to 5nl. After 5nl, hopefully I'll move up to 10nl. That is, if I decide to stick with cash games.

Also, this is just a hobby for me. Its not a souce of income, so I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything if I decided to start at the bottom and work up. I'm sure I can beat 10nl, but I don't have that confidence yet to actually sit down and try.
