What got you into poker?

I'm pretty sure I saw a random youtube video of a poker tournament and after that curiosity got a hold of me. Started watching more videos, playing on phone Apps, etc. Then found out about freerolls on sites like acr and thought I'd give it a go.

I used to play this Real-Time Strategy game called Warcraft 3 The Frozen Throne. A few of the top players started moving to online poker and you'd hear stories of how they were crushing it (ex. Doug Polk). So I started messing around with Zynga and eventually made an account at Pokerstars. Been playing off and on ever since.

13 years ago i saw either high stakes poker or poker after dark on tv and watched it and liked it and it arouse my interest for poker . not long after that i played some home game tournaments with study buddies and saw that i am talented for it

How I like that question!, And tell my story, I was a teenager, all my cousins and brothers gathered there were 9 people, and a guy brought out a beautiful wooden poker table and a green cloth, with its gold chips of 1000, 500, 300, 200 and 100. I said excuse my life but I'm going to hurt yours, hahahahahaha. It was 1989 at night when I played my first hand a 5 of diamond and a 3 of hearts I lost !!!! of insofacto against a pair of kk of some of cousin the first thing that asks aja who wins? ajajajajaj since that day we have not stopped playing all.

We had a high school party (before the moon was a puppy), and some guys suggested that we play poker. This was in the old days, when there was no Texas Hold-em, just 5 card stud, and draw.

I did pretty good.

In college, I started playing other variations, then left the game for many years, until Paradise Poker came along.

I've been playing, online, ever since, and love it.

my childhood friends dad when we were kids taught us how to play cards we use to play more 5 card draw and 7 card stud with wild card games. We would also mix in texas holdem and omaha.

Kitchen table

Almost 70 years ago I was an actor in a theater group play.
My juvenile part was only in acts 2 and 3, so the husband of the director invited me to learn poker w/ his friends in the kitchen when the rest of the cast was working on Act 1.
The first night he pushed a pile of pennies and nickels in front of me and gave me a card with the ranks of poke hands pictured.
I played the first night of 5 Card Draw with my hands open so they could help me with decision making.

A friend once played Poker Stars and taught me how to play, taught me the rules and combinations.Then I watched on TV how to play Negreanu and other stars in poker.I watched the basic course from Pokerstars and for the first time even took the 10th place out of 10,000 players and was very happy.It was successful to play, now it's a different time,2013 is behind us.
