Why Do You Play Poker?

I think Poker is a great game with a lot of skills involved. If you want to be a Pro or a big player, you must know something about maths, psycology, read tells, concentration, a clear mind. And that´s what attracts me to play despite the fact that I´m a competitive man and obviously want to make some money too.

I like games where you need to think. This develops my brain and keeps you young. And if this game can bring me income that's fine.

I play online poker, because it`s a good alternative to playing other games for example on the play station. I would say I like playing interesting games. I don`t really care if I have won some money at poker or not, but it`s a good motivation to win money. Previously I played only games on my station, but my mom showed me online poker, and I think I wouldn`t play anymore if I could not win money.

The main reason why i play poker it's just for fun, 'cause i play on play money chips. Before i started i heard some fun situations what was happened with my friends who played poker long time, they talk about some amazing winning pots, and fatal mistakes. So i was think like 'It must be fun' in my mind.

It's a bit of a conundrum, I like poker and I'm pretty good at it, but at the same time I'm a bit risk adverse so I don't often stray beyond micro stakes.
The money is just a bonus, although the $1k-$2 a year doesn't hurt, but I played just as much years ago when I was just playing for play money chips on pokerstars (although back then I could sell those so it really was money for nothing.)

I play why this is a sport like others, giving you anger, happines, emotions like each other sports, but, you do not need to run. You can eat, play a song. You can play with your mother, your grandmother, your lady. Its a sport for all.

I like the psychological warfare. Im competitive, have always loved playing games, and I play to win whether its a game like poker with money involved or a video game with no money, I play to win. Thats why we play games right? To win.

When I was young I started playing to be able to hang out with friends. It was an excuse to get everyone together and we would have a good time. I discovered online poker and it took a shift towards profit. I did alright for myself but since black Friday I went back to playing casually and am happier for it. It feels good to make money but when that is all our after the game loses its intent.
