Would you play poker if you couldn't win money in it?

Yes. I play for fun, but if I win some money it's good. I keep my bankroll on that level that I can always play some centrolls, and couple of tournaments with buyins under $2.

I think it's normal to feel frustration, I play for money, I play because I enjoy the game, ... if you only play to make money and don't enjoy the game maybe give yourself a break👍

If we had only played with chips with our friends and I hadn't known that this could be done with money, then to this day I would only play like that.
But after that you've played with real money or money, you start to see the game differently.
Regardless, sometimes it can be fun to play with chips with friends while drinking beer .

I played a bunch as a kid & teenager but even then we always played for money. The game just isn't the same without it... it gets played much differently.
I would play poker even if it was just to lose money... but it has to be for some sort of monetary prize or the game just sucks!

The only thing I play for nothing is video games.
Poker I played a little when I started at Pokerstars, but only while I was a student, when I finished the course I won my first ticket, and from then on I only played for real money.
