You can win money from darts, pool and chess ( The first two, I'm pretty good at). Those games are relatively easy to develop skill at, you play regularly and you get better. I think poker is a little more complex and volatile, ontop of the practise element, there's a whole lot of study in areas that you might not expect, but are essential for getting good at poker.
