Poker profitable? Or not?

More than profitable, I see poker as a way to spend time with adrenaline and teaching in every hand. Of course, so it can be profitable.

Like anything else in life that you work hard on poker can be extremely profitable. The problem is people read a book or a few articles and suddenly they think they're professionals who should be able to make a living playing poker. Becoming a long term winning player means years of study, hard work and dedication. Some people are naturally gifted of course but they are very rare. For most of us it is a long journey to reach the point where we can say "poker is now my job".

Really depends on how well you play. Only around 20% of poker players are good eouugh to pull off a career doing it. Might as well consider it a hobby until you are one of those 20%

You can win poker and it will be profitable, but you need to wait for your card, then start to raise chips or money and then get a good profit, but in tournaments it's a long process and in cash games you can raise money

Poker is not profitable most of the time, but every once in a while you get some good runs.

I think poker is profitable game if you will learn game , read some books to improve your knowledge about this game and if you do not give up from the beginning.

I agree with your understanding, we should play poker not only thinking about money, but for really liking card game, I hope someday to reach a certain profitability in poker, I feel that I am on the right track of the excellent plays.

Poker can be profitable in theory. Almost everyone would make more working a minimum wage job than playing poker.

Did you know that most poker rooms give you the opportunity to call them and reserve a place in the cash game list for an hour or two before the game itself? That is, when you arrive there, you will already have the opportunity to take a seat, well, or at least you will have an hour or two in front of those who have just come. I found out about this only a year after I started playing.

Nice win! Almost took down a 4k myself lastnight cashing for $227 fourth on a $5.50 rebuy. I've been averaging a few hundred per day in net winnings on global. No cashout fees are a bonus as well.

If you are playing poker, which is fun, you will probably never be profitable. To make profit consistently you have to grind, which is a boring activity, so not much fun anymore, it is essentially a job.

In the last few months, nothing is profitable, I am with - $ 560, but I got $ 1,400 of prizes, poorly today I do not care anymore, I want to improve my game, and I know that soon I will be profitable.

It just depends on the amount, you could play only freerolls and show a profit, but I think only around 10% of players are really long term winners.
