I recently tried to put together in my head how my poker journey developed, and while it wasn’t easy, it was good to recall what happened in the past.On the one hand, mental training is also a kind of memory, it can help a lot in the development of the present and the future, because the future will change in every moment and will change as you shape it. Everything you do and think will come back sooner or later. It is a Universal Law that helps people develop.

I started thinking about my life and one or two of these pretty impressive videos and so on. because I thought about my stuff. I’ve been playing quite a bit lately (I’d rather say in the last 4 years) with a game called LoL, but after a while I got to the question of why? Maybe I didn’t take it seriously myself either, but I wanted to play on a competitive level, which would take a lot of practice, it would take years to get there, and I’m 49 anyway, and you can run in there at the age of 18, so I thought it couldn’t be so continue. You have to ask people why they do it ... it's very important, so I've started playing poker again lately (lol just takes time, poker is a really good game to make money with and enjoy). Around September, a 60-70k sample had a pretty good graph, and I didn't really understand why I stopped ... (but really) it was a lack of perseverance ... it was pretty monotonous to sit down every day ... etc, but now i started again with renewed vigor ... for the time being this year the goal is to reach nl10 (if i outperform, it is no problem:D

Depends on what do you mean. Do I have more money than when I start? Yes I have. Do I have lot of money and say that I could leave my regular job? No, of course not.

Unfortunately, I have not really profitable. I usually paid 50 usd. but I'm losing end of the month. It was bigger prize you? If so write about it. Good luck for everyone;)
Playing Poker has been profitable for me, I have always tried to play to win without losing too much. Taking a balance of earnings I go up with a positive balance.

In Sng, very often we play a situation instead of our hand. Depending on the situation, you have to play loosely or just hyper tight depending on your opponent. It is an error, for example, to push the p / f section very tightly when the opponent enters tight, but it is also a mistake to push loosely if we assume that the opponent enters loosely. Of course, it takes a lot of time to reach the level of recognizing these situations and applying them correctly. But no one was born to be a sng pro and everything does perfectly. It's all just a matter of learning.

Hi! I think it depends on the player's attitude to poker. If the player is serious, really trying, constantly learning, setting goals, planning their time, not as entertainment, but to work, then the game becomes profitable. I often watch broadcasts of successful players on twitch and YouTube. And I know such people among my acquaintances. There are a lot of people who make good money on poker. Of course, the problem is that this is not a stable income. At some point, you have to be prepared to play in the negative. Therefore, you need to count everything and have a safety cushion. And first of all, decide what poker is for you.

I am just starting to learn about sharkscope and my statistics. about 28 percent of my days are winning days. I recommend to people to look at this statistic for themselves. Maybe it is a good way to track your progress. Maybe there is a number where poker starts to become profitable.

Nowadays I am struggling with the problem that there is a certain situation or something, I can stay calm, I can assess the situation, I also know “what I should feel” but for some reason I still feel different while I know 100% what is going on in my head and how I should approach it.

I have played online since Intertops and Poker Stars started in the late 80's - early 90's
Mostly played MMT's and made thousands during the Neteller days.
When the U.S. arrested the owners of neteller...I had to report 4k in earnings!
Probably won 10k over the years....but don't make as much lately?
Everything changes!

The most important thing I’ve learned is that you always have to set goals for yourself. Without them, we simply cannot succeed. Not only do you have to play with them orally, you have to write them down! Naturalwest touched on this topic in more detail, I can only recommend it to everyone. Oh, and take it very seriously

You should look at how much I make mistakes in an average of 30bb + pots, I have no idea, I don't think I could give a standard value for that, if I can't, I have nothing to compare it to, plus it also means that I play a lot more of these pots in one month, as in the other (this is not necessarily true, say, maybe there is not as much variance, but you know). You should also consider the pots I won, but I made a mistake in them (it could be an -EV move later, which I just managed to win). I don’t see myself calculating and researching this in the database

For most people, poker is a hobby. For many of those people, poker is a hobby that is profitable. For the others, it's a hobby that costs them money, but they enjoy it and it's a cost they're willing to pay for their hobby.

If poker is a hobby that is also profitable, well then that's a win win.

True. I believe the common statistic is that only 10% of poker players are profitable. On top of that, the top 1% of players tend to make "all the money." So poker can be profitable, but there's steep competition at the top. Even most profitable players rely on rakeback to make stable winnings. :p

I can’t understand that - how can an AA go all the way preflop. What's the point? It’s just a pair after all, okay you need at least two pairs against it to beat it. It can turn out to be a pretty good hand, but I can go all-in with 22 on that basis because it can be full. I think it's a mess, it needs to be raised. At least watch the flop and if it still looks good you can push it. In my experience, with an AA allin, either everyone throws, ergo takes a blind, or someone calls and you fall in, or you have a high chance of winning with it, but it wouldn't be worth it for me to risk an AA, in fact. I even threw it in preflop early because Allin went. There were times I would have taken it, but quite a few times I could have been in shit IF I had given it.
Although maybe I’m just stupid and I’m talking shit.

I don't think poker is profitable. Playing poker is fun.And you have to pay for the pleasure.Of course, there are wins and losses.I think poker is profitable only for professionals. But they also sometimes lose a lot.

I personally think of it as a hobby or an experience. For some it may however for the overwhelming majority probably not. For casinos it must be otherwise there would be no poker. Just a thought.
