So day two, here I am writing this instead of still being in the Seniors lol. First bullet didn’t go so good. 2nd round I was out and man did I play really bad. All my fault and I should have known better but that’s how we learn. This lady to my left was involved in a lot of pots early, that doesn’t mean anything, she could be just catching cards and playing her
hands with aggression or she could be over
bluffing I don’t know really because her hands are not getting to showdown. But 2nd level I’m in the big blind with T9, someone limps the button, she’s in the small blind and calls, I check, T96 flop, she’s leads, I raise, button folds, she calls. Turn is a 4, she now leads, no flush out there. I raise, she re-raises, I go all in like a donkey thing that she was slow playing an over pair, nope she flopped the nut straight with 78 lol so I’m doing the walk of shame. I should have stopped and thought about that some more but that’s my main problem is acting too fast in these spots and I end up being my own worst enemy lol
Ok so -250.00, but I re buy of course because these tournaments are too much fun and this is why I’m here. I get a really good table draw, a pro at the table, he’s really funny, he has 4 circuit rings and was really close to a bracelet, 700,000 in tournament earnings, he was super fun to play against. Of course he become the chip leader, he knew exactly when to put pressure on people and it was just fun watching him work. He eventually moved to another table. And then the other crusher at the table got busted out in two hands to this lucky guy on my right, so all the aggression kind of calmed down for a while. I was able to win a lot more pots today vs yesterday. But winning pots doesn’t do anything, we have to survive to make the money. Level 9 now, same level I busted out last night. I have 20 big blinds. I’m in the EP1 spot with KK. Blinds 1000-1500-1500. I’m on a new table now because that now easy table broke. This is my 4th hand and this table is all business, sunglasses are out and no one is chatting it up. So I think about raising to 3k the min, that’s the table norm, but with the whole table to get through I just thought all in with 20 blinds was the play, maybe that’s too many big blinds to shove here, I don’t have a silver to figure it out. So three guys fold and one of the middle position guys tanks for a real long time, like 3 minutes. Then he folds. The next guys shoves all in without thinking about it, he has like 50 big blinds. Everyone else folds. He shows 99. Nice I got him to call off with an underpair to my hand. And he gets his 9 on the flop and it hold, I’m out.
So if I just min raise I wonder if he 3 bets me with his 99. Either way, on a 9 high board, I think my money is going in anyways. So yeah I don’t know if I could have gotten away from that hand. Oh well that’s how it goes and I’ll try again tomorrow.
No broken spirits I’ve played this game too long to be down about silly things like that.
I love this game and everything that comes with it!
Keep fighting the good fight everyone and thanks for reading!
