Yesterday I was looking at the stats of the players at my table. This older guy to my left, Albert Ethier, he has been playing poker a super long time. His first cash was at the wsop in 1976! So I was talking to him about it because I thought that was pretty impressive that he has played that long and is still playing and having fun! Super nice guy!

Good luck! 🍀 Sounds like you've put in the work, so hopefully it pays off this year. The Salute to Warriors structure looks great, and hopefully you'll last a lot longer than six bust-outs this time! 😄

Enjoy Vegas, stay hydrated, and keep us updated on your progress. We're rooting for a deep run! ♠️🏆

Yeah finally got a deep run! All my cards held, I won races, got lucky when I needed to be like AQ vs 99 and I caught an Ace, that happened a couple of times. Timing is everything in this crazy game!
So I got 74th place out of 1197 players and you had to make 180th to reach the money. Luckily for me when we were on the bubble I had a comfortable 25 big blinds so I didn’t have to sweat it out if I was going to make the money or not. Some guys made it to the money with just like one big blind lol so it’s a fun time during the stone bubble because they pause the clock and deal hand for hand on each table and it took about 20 minutes to break the bubble. And it’s fun because everyone claps and is happy.
My table was super friendly all day today. I watch this vlog on YouTube called Miles Poker Everyday Winning and it’s about Justin Miles Barnum’s poker adventures, so he’s vlogging his summer experience out here in Vegas. I’ve been watching for a while now because he’s so down to earth and everything he captures is real life emotion and that’s why I love his vlogs because it’s just so real, he shows the good things that happen and the bad and you get to experience it all with him. So I got to meet him earlier in the day because he was playing in the same tournament I was in. So it was super cool getting to meet him and he took time out of his break to talk to me. He is ranked number 4 in the State of Montana for tournament winnings so it was so fun to get to meet him. Then about half way into the tournament he was moved to my table and sat down right next to me on the left. So I got be in his vlog today which was so fun! You never know what’s going to happen when you come play these events! So give him a look on YouTube if you have a chance!
Anyways, it was a good day of poker I had fun, this was my last event as my Son is out here with his wife and I get to spend the next two days with them and then fly home on Thursday.
Thanks for hanging out with me gang! Good luck on the tables and don’t forget to have fun!!
Dan

Watching Lexi Gavin-Mathers compete for a Bracelet in the Salute to Warriors! Nine left and she’s currently 4th in chip stacks! Exciting!

IMG 6709Wow it was an emotional finish for Lexi, she finished in 7th place and then came over and thanked all of us rooting for her on the rail personally and I couldn’t help getting emotional because I am a disabled Veteran and this event takes a percentage to help different Veteran causes, the Salute for Warriors also has a different Bracelet than all the other Bracelet events at the WSOP. I was so hoping she was going to take it down but she fought hard! She’s a great inspiration, please check her vlogs on YouTube!
