With less money you control your spending better, I recommend playing more freerolls, good luck and control your spending

Without a deposit, the player will not be able to withdraw his earnings, I assume that the minimum deposit can and should be made.

Having solid bankroll control will make many situations avoidable.
I prefer to forget the money that is there so I don't have to put it later.

From what you say, it seems that you are a gambler. If you want to get rid of this inconsistency, deposit an amount and play in the bankroll.

Like others, I play a lot of freerolls and build a bankroll from there.

A good source of additional money is free tickets and bonuses.

All that can be used to buy into more expensive tournaments and to buy into cash games.

Like others I only deposit when I receive a new bank card.

I play poker only at 888 and sometimes but rarely at PokerStars. One deposit of $10 a year is more than enough for me. Instead, I withdraw money regularly at least once a month, either $50 or $100. So my withdrawal limit per month is $50.

I don't know your ambitions. Maybe you want to participate in the Sunday Million every week with 2-3 rebuys. I would advise you to first answer yourself what you want from poker, and then think about the deposit size according to your goals.

I've seen both sides—some players deposit big and come out ahead, while others play smart with smaller amounts and still score significant wins. It's really about understanding your own comfort level and budgeting wisely. Personally, I lean towards smaller, more manageable deposits to keep things fun without risking too much upfront.
If you're exploring different strategies, checking out no deposit bonus codes on sites like https://nodepositbonuses.com/ is a savvy move. It lets you test the waters without committing a large sum, which can be a game-changer. Plus, it's a good way to discover new platforms and games risk-free.

Only deposit if there is meaning and reason to do this . If you are good at poker , you already have good results but it just happened to have some bad luck or bad decisions and now you need to deposit and start from zero . But if you cannot succeed never deposit again . If the poker room is not trustworthy never deposit again . It's a problem for new players , sift , loose fun players who throw their deposit one after the other at the poker rooms' fireplace

I don't mind depositing and withdrawing as long as the time scales are within reason.

It also means that my funds aren't locked up in one site or worse case scenario they get seized and unable to withdraw.

We have deposit limits now which can be a pain but if it's within your means then shouldn't be a problem.

Just make sure to keep track of all deposits, withdrawals and p&l to keep track.

sometimes everyone has to make deposits, you have to expect to participate in 10-30 tournaments

Good morning everyone, whenever you ask a question related to poker, the answer will almost always be accompanied by the word it depends.
What is the acceptable monthly deposit amount?
It depends on the buy-in amount you play.
If you are talking about micro limits, it is not necessary to make deposits because it is extremely easy to build up a bankroll by playing freerolls.
What is much more important is to study a lot and practice. It is also very important to play on different sites because you will have an easier time winning on one site compared to others.

Since I've been playing from my first deposit for 15+ years, I manage my bankroll well, so I still only deposit when I need to make the first deposit to a new room. :)

This all depends on each players individual circumstances. If you are depositing frequently, I can only think of two reasons for this:

1. You play big $ games and do not want to leave too many $'s on the site for risk management purposes, so you are depositing and withdrawing frequently. But let's just assume that is not most of us, and move onto the next possibility,
2. You are losing and need to replenish funds. In this case, you need to ask yourself: Can I afford to lose $x's per month, as a) I consider this entertainment expense, or b) am I just chasing a pipe-dream of cashing big and overspending my means?

If your answer to #2 is "a)" there is really no problem, but if your answer is "b)"then you need to take a good hard look in the mirror and re-evaluate things.

Exactly. You will win a lot if you are a good player.
