The only way to become proficient in anything is Practice, Practice, Practice, It's like When you go for a driving test, You ain't going to pass if you have never sat in the driving seat.
Freeroll's are probably the best way to get some experience, even Fun money games can help to a certain degree, But every poker game is different and until you can get a grasp of the basics, you are not going to get better at the game until it starts hurting your pocket, Building a bankroll from freerolls is difficult but not impossible, You just need to be patient and Practice, Practice, Practice.

Wait for your spots. Win a few all ins. Be patient. You will win if you are persistent. You will need the cards and will lose a lot however due to variance.

Kind of a weird question, because what is even the purpose of winning tournaments? If you play 100 9 man sngs, you will almost certainly win some, but you might still be losing money. So the more relevant question is, how do i become a winning player? And as others have said, cc has a whole course about just that 😀
