I believe that there are a lot of really beautiful sport film. usually sports films are loaded with emotional content and motivational where the weakest with sacrifice can beat the giant.
one of the most beautiful for the caliber of actors was Invictus

PEACEFUL WARRIOR 2006

Dan Millman is a gifted young athlete bound for Olympic gold who will do anything to be the best. Driven by success, Dan has got it all: trophies, fast motorcycles, fast girls, and wild parties. But Dan's world is turned upside down when he meets a mysterious stranger in a gas station who holds the power to tap into new worlds of strength and understanding. The young man discovers that he has much to learn and even more to leave behind in order to master this new vision of greatness in this moving tale about the power of human will.

“The Natural” is one of my all time favorites. “Lords of Dogtown” is great too!

I do not think they are the "best" but among my favorites are Warrior (2011) Creed (2015) Moneyball (2011) Million Dollar Baby (2004) Field Of Dreams (1984) For Love Of The Game (1999) Coach Carter (2005) The Fighter (2010) Tonya (2017) and Space JAM (1996)

The Longest Yard (2005) Prison inmates form a football team to challenge the prison guards

Best sports movie?

As far as it concerns poker, I would definitely say The Rounders. In general, when it comes to sports movies the thing goes mainly to football films, with three super awesome films that I highly recommend to everyone.

-The Football Factory
-Pele: Birth of a Legend
-Victory

Rudy- I have a friend in that movie
Field of Dreams
Let it ride- comedy

I really liked Russian films "Trainer" which appeared not so long ago, "Moving Up"

Goal 2005 years Genre: drama, romance
Countries: United States, United Kingdom
Director: Danny Cannon

My pick would be the mighty ducks series great story and interesting.

Wow, i just learned now that there was a bunch of sports movies i never got to watch. Now i need to make a list to watch these films.

It might be too soon to call it the best ever, but Creed is definitely the best sports movie I've seen in a long time.

What about the classics. 😉

Crackerjack.

Backyard Ashes.

Even it was a budget movie Goal is en fun movie to see. It's about a mexican guy who it trying to become a succesful football player in England.

Any Given Sunday. - for me - the best film about sports. Its all about the NFL, about winning every games, and about career.I dont want to give you spoilers, so I suggest this film for everyone. You just have to watch it 😀

I really liked the movie about baseball. It's about Jackie Robinson, he was the first black player in that league. In that time racism was really big so you can see what happened that time and a lot more. Movie's name is - "42", recommend to watch everybody

Would have to be "Eddie the Eagle".

After seeing your cardschat username, this was the first movie that I thought of.

Actually, Eddie (Michael) Edwards was nothing like he was portrayed in the movie. He was in fact, an experienced downhill skier, who just missed out on selection for the previous winter Olympics. According to Michael Edwards (Eddie the Eagle) only about 5% of the movie is true.

The best sports film in my version is The Longest Yard. It’s ready to watch it every time it goes on TV, the only time I’ve left the cinema without thinking about the money spent. motivating film

The original...with Burt Reynolds, right?

If so...totally agree...a classic.

so so many great ones

Well... I am a super movie-geek, so...

Rocky (original)

Slapshot

Hoosiers

Longest Yard (original)

(Any of those top 4 could be my #1)

The Wrestler (soooo gritty and authentic and tragic)

Bull Durham (best baseball movie ever...I know I know...SORRY "Major League" fans)

All the Right Moves (underrated early Tom Cruise high school football flick)

Million Dollar Baby (authentic, gripping, tragic)

Brian's Song (true story of Brian Piccolo and Gayle Sayers)

The Natural (oooh... maybe this should be higher up)

Raging Bull

Goon (Stunned at how good this is)

Bang the Drum Slowly

Youngblood

I still feel like I'm leaving something out.

Everybody's All-American...underrated.
