The shame is that people bow down to his pressure or to appeal him.

At least Belgium won a lot of additional supporters from all over the word for the match later today.

I'd love to watch it but it's played at 2 AM my local time. Awkward since you can't really sleep before or after it since it's just in the middle of the night. 😵

I know what you mean. I stayed up for Austrias super early games at 4 am and 6am .
Couldn't sleep at all. Especially not since that insane 3:3 match against Algeria

Yeah, it's a struggle with those game times over here in Europe.

If the game was played at 4/5/6 am, I'd try to go to bed a little earlier and sleep before but with 2 AM it is quite impossible, or at least the amount of sleep you get is simply too small. 😅

I also doubt I could go back to bed after such a game. Too much adrenaline 🤣

I feel bad for the US team having been placed in this situation. Yes it was a questionable red card, particularly as no foul was called in real time, but the penalty was issued and needed to be accepted regardless of the impact. Losing the next match because of it would have been a bitter pill for many fans, but Americans could have been proud of the team fighting to overcome it.

Now, a win will forever be viewed as tainted and a loss will be ridiculed mercilessly, clearly a lose/lose proposition. While it will never happen, I would love for the team to say "we're not going to play Balogun today and will take on the challenge honorably, win or lose."

How did the rumor originate?

If he didn't stand in place and stick his little hands out in the air like that, people wouldn't make fun of it. I wouldn't call it "dancing". Not sure what to call it but it looks really dumb, especially for a President of the United States.

It's physically tiring paying attention to all the chaos & drama that man churns out everyday. Doesn't he have a day job?

He should go find himself a 4th wife, (ideally one who speaks english) and settle down at a golf resort somewhere far, far away.

Trump called FIFA President Gianni Infantino and asked the soccer organization to review the red card, which came along with a one-game suspension that would have barred Balogun from playing Monday night. FIFA announced Sunday that Balogun's punishment would be suspended but said that Trump's call had nothing to do with the decision.
