It depends jackle, do you want a good run at it or do you want to just take a few shots like what logan said....my roll is at about $120 so I'm sticking with 5nl unless it goes down to $40...gives me 20 sigh buy ins again for 2nl....maybe take shots with your current roll and do the same thing or deposit another $30-40 and have a better go at it....depends how confident you are in your game and if by taking shots with just 5 buy ins would you ne playing with scared money resulting in levelling yourself and changing your style or decisions.....imo deposit another $20 if you can and have a 10 buy in shot...

Open 2 tables of 2nl and load 1 of 5nl, you will be in touch which next level, still mainly playing your confort game and one less table help for some extra time on new level. Also droping 2 tables from 2nl to load 1 of 5nl means only adding $1 more to your avg buyin (instead of play with $8 will be playing with $9) . Also could open only 2 tables of 5nl if don´t feel ok mixing and when get use to the new level can add more until reach your 4.

Playing 5nl mostly, but been playing mix of 2nl and 5nl this month. Heres my graph with EV line...I ran even worse than this last month so it's getting a bit ridic. On the positive side I think I've been playing pretty well and I haven't tilted cos know it is just variance and I need to ride it out. I know the nosedive in the middle of the graph looks like tilt, but it's not, it's just running like shit hitting the top of everyones range and getting coolered a lot.

Yeah I have been running pretty gross for the past few days, AA got cracked by 45o All In pre flop and he flopped a straight haha worst I have seen so far. I thought I was running bad but your variance is really laying down the law....

Do you not think he would underbet the river if he got the flush, sucking you in so you go over the top....obv you wouldn't fall for that and insta fold, but this half pot bet looks like a semi bluff... He's trying to represent the flush, but his sizing doesn't make much sense to me.....I think he's got AJ-AK here.....could be way off the mark though...just my opinion

Semi bluffing OOP after I fire a big bet on the turn? Why would he want to semi-bluff A/K - A/J anyway? (Also A/K ((maybe A/Q)) would likely 3 bet pre-flop and I have blockers to all A/X type hands). If he calls flop and turn he must think these hands have showdown value so semi-bluffing river is very stupid, especially OOP. Also when he fires this bet on river he HAS to call a raise by me as he is pot committed so imo it really doesn't look like a bluff/blocking bet. He is giving me decent odds, 4:1 to break even on this call, but I still think he has it so often here. I think this bet looks like a 'Please call me bet' and he doesn't want a shove to scare me away. K/Q of clubs fits his hand range perfectly here for a passive player as he has a gutshot as well. I could also be wrong though :p.

Ha this is what I thought as well but I didn't wana post it unless I was having a brainfart, I think he checks A/J+ as well, I told him it was a hard fold and he said "did you have A/A?", so I presume he didn't have an ace then.

Guy had the flush. I purposely called in three of these spots yesterday just to see if I was making the correct decisions by laying down all the time in these situations. Every time it was a rivered flush. He played it textbook fish drawing style with the river shove because he thinks OMGOMGVALUENOW!

Yeah I thought a semi bluff could be used in any part of the hand, however I've just read that you do it on the turn...looks like I need to study the poker dictionary before I keep making a **** of myself.....

Easy mistake Alfie. I've made it before and so have plenty others.

WP during that hand Yoshimiii, pain in the ass folding in those spots but you made the right play all the way through.

UTG bets $0.06, Hero raises $0.18, 3 folds, BB calls $0.16, UTG raises $0.46, Hero calls $0.34, BB calls $0.34

Flop: ($1.57) J

River: ($6.28) K

Total pot: $6.28

BB was super fish playing 50/0. I was pretty sure with pot sizing UTG was commited to shoving any non overcard flop. Even if he check/folded there was a good chance I would get the fish's stack anyway. Normally I'm just shoving pre.

Thoughts?

Semi-bluff can be also done on flop, bluffing with lots of equity but not an actual showdown worthy hand yet.

2nl I would just re-raise pre-flop, BB may even call another raise as he is a big fish. Flop is horrible and a shove, expect someone to have 2pair+ here alot. Also if UTG has J/J and flop comes A/K/Q UTG can still fold the flop, whereas he would have GII pre-flop.

I thought calling pre and getting it in on the flop would be the best way to GII vs two players. After UTG 4-bets he aint folding and clearly isn't beating me. I thought it would be more +EV to call and try win 2 stacks. Am I correct in thinking that BB will probably call any J, and any draw. I know I have UTG beat on the flop so no need to worry about that.

BB will call with straight/flush draw/J. Downside to trying to win 2 stacks on flop is that more chance of being sucked out on, I don't mind call pre-flop, just think a raise all in is better imo.
