Anytime the World Series of Poker puts the word “mega” in front of a series, they mean it.
The WSOP Online MEGA Circuit series features $4.5 million in prize-pool guarantees for players in Pennsylvania, Michigan, New Jersey and Nevada. It starts May 31 with a $100 buy-in $200,000 guaranteed Mystery Bounty, and runs until June 23. It’s one of two twin Mystery Bounty tourneys during the series.
Each of the 24 tourneys carry a prize-pool guarantee of at least $125,000. The $525 Main Event on June 22 guarantees a half-milly in prizes. It’s one of two Main Events. The other is the $1,000 buy-in closer that carries a $250,000 guarantee.
Players who cash will receive points towards the Online Circuit leaderboard. Up for grabs is a $10,000 WSOP Main Event seat, online poker tickets, and $25,000 in entries into live WSOP events. Click here for more information.
There are two high-roller events: a $1,000 buy-in on June 9 with a $250,000 guarantee, and a $2,000 Super High-Roller Six-Max event on June 16 with a $300,000 guarantee.
Satellites for most of these events will be held, but for some reason, WSOP Online never releases a schedule for them. Players must check the client the day of the tourneys to see how to win into them at a discount.
Satellites for the Main Event are also running sporadically on the site. They cost $215. Freerolls into the Main Event are also being held for those who make a deposit.
It’s a big week for WSOP Online. Not only are players vying for Circuit rings, 30 of them will win bracelets in the next several weeks.
Cyber-bracelets
As the WSOP kicks-off in Las Vegas, so does the bracelet series online. Starting May 30, and running until July 14, players will have a shot at 30 online bracelets.
Events start at $400, with a handful of $1,000 events, two $3,200 events, and a $5,300 high-roller event taking place June 27. The three high-roller events start online and finish live in Las Vegas in front of the cameras, so plan accordingly.
There are also two mega-sats into the WSOP Main Event that cost $215 on June 28 and 30. Satellites for all the events will be run. Check the client for times..
