You can buy a ticket directly to the warmup/million. They're 13.5k FPPs. There are satellites, too, but I've never played those.

I'll be 20-tabling a mix of 200/100NL FR for the rest of the month til i get SN. 15,800 FPPs to go. Just tried 24 earlier today and its a little crazy, but 20 seemed much more sane and I can definitely do 20 tables. Still managed to play not like a total nit with my preflop stats being 16.3/15.

Oh baby!!!! I thought I was the only one who did this. I take it all the time, poops are so much more enjoyable when I'm reading this thread imo

[Thinly veiled brag:]
But if you're a stronger player than the average Warmup/Million player, your EV will be at least $200 for playing in the tournament, and it's 13.5k FPPs. It's a better deal than 25k FPPs for a $285 bonus, or 100k FPPs for $1500. And trust you me, being better than average in these tournaments is not a hugely difficult feat.

FP - In the last 4 MTT's I've played on Stars, card dead doesn't even come close to describing how bad I run in those comps. The last SM, I managed to stay in for 3hrs playing w/absolute trash hands. The only hand I had in almost 3hrs was 88!!!

You certainly have to have some hands in order to make the money imo. Regrettable that just hasn't happened for me.

if you can last that long with crap hands then when you run well, and yes you will run well Jag everyone knows one day that you will, you will pawn the SM and win $200k and be loving all the times you were card dead :D

Almost up to pace, as I said I have no worries about reaching 100k hands. The problem is though that now I'm down like $400, just running like shit and the other guy's running like God apparently. So he's beating me by like 2k last I checked. Still long way to go, I'm at ~20k hands. Should have caught up to the pace by tonight and end of the week I should be a good 10k+ hands ahead of pace.

Lol, knew it was stupid to 4bet bluff u there, but u just 3bet me twice, i cant stand for that. :) Yea, I like the shove cuz im probably stacking QQ+, AK there and if u only flat i dont stack those anymore unless i hit and I definitely dont stack any of my bluffs unless i hit real hard.

May aswell have jsut burned 100 bucks. Just generally played really bad for another breakeven session

Oh sure, you need some hands. But that's just a matter of EV. It's true that you may spend 13.5K FPPs and not have anything to show for it but the EV is still higher.
