Takes me a bit longer to log in but I suppose its all in my interest. Nice feature.
It's about time they did something like that. I had the secureID feature or w/e turned on but that just effectively made the password longer. No defense against keyloggers. This new feature makes me feel a ton safer with as much money as I have on Stars.

Email support. Definitely a must imo if you have any amount of real money in your account. I was kinda nervous that a simple keylogger could basically get my information and have access to my Stars account/money.

imo this is a must for anything over like $100 lol. It's not that big of a hassle and is a huge step in security. I place its importance on a similar level of making a password that's not simply a dictionary word.

If it's a new feature why do they keep it semi secret like that ?
Why not have it somewhere in the menu near your account ?

And how did TB find it ?

I got the secure ID feature activated that time my MSN got hacked because i had close to $8K there and i wasnt happy about security.

This is just a new way of entering it. Anyway i keep my passwords in a weird .txt file hidden in my system files and i usually c/p the passwords for additional safety from keyloggers. Even if you found the file you would'nt have a clue where the passwords are hidden in it either.

Doesn't keylogging stuff need to be downloaded to your pc, and don't virus scanning things detect them?

I run goot lol.
Told myself I'd play a 2 hour session which is pretty unusual for me.

I've had every beat in history thrown at me lol.
Turned broadway twice, lost to a flopped nut flush twice. Yes A2s and A3s is the nuts preflop.
KK < 77 flopped quads.
Turned nut flush, 3rd Q comes on river giving 88 boat.
Set over set.

I am amased at myself for not throwing my monitor through the window lol.
I can not believe I am not tilting.
Guess there's such a thing as beyond tilt.
I went from down 2 buy ins early to grinding it back to <-half a buyin to -3 buyins when all the huge beats blew in my face :D.

Fun times !

Virus scans aren't perfect. I'm not trusting a 5 figure sum with a virus protection. Also it's easy for someone with access to your computer to install it as well. Now personally I make sure my computer's never left logged in. But one slip-up and it's possible. Nothing's really likely, but it's a small inconvenience that provides a huge step-up in security.

And to enty they don't advertise it because think of how a recreational player would view it. It'd be similar to thinking of moving into a neighborhood and seeing all the houses had bars on the windows and vault-like front doors. It's for security but the biggest question is "why do they need it?". No one wants recreational players thinking that key loggers or hacking is that probable (since it's really not) and then not depositing. It's just a precaution that takes almost no extra effort though, so I definitely love this new feature.

Ok this is a serious lollercoaster now..
Just worked back from -3.5 BIs to a few positive dollars in no time at all, about 120 hands lol.

Then I stack the taggiest nit of Everest who is a major reg AA vs AKs pre flop. This put me positive. The very next hand I flop a set with 55 and make the mistake of stacking off on the turn where he made the wheel.

So now im down a buy in but very excited I made it back from that deficit and just seeing if I can keep playing level headed and possibly even break even again.

/end Rant sorry CC

Chuck, certain stuff can get onto your pc (key logger stuff) just by a pop up window opening on a random, even trustworthy site, and i don't think even the best virus protection picks up that kinda thing, im sure you need a special add on, but i have no idea what that is.

On another note, can anyone point me in the direction of a good mouse for a laptop (id prefer usb to wireless) in the region of 100$ (i have no idea if thats cheap or expensive so i can go up or down

FWIW that's pretty expensive switch.
You can get a decent one for a lot less imo.

My mom uses a wireless logitech one for her laptop with a plug in usb antenna. It's all-surface so if you put it on your leg for instance while sitting with the laptop on your lap it still works.

On another note: In PT3 under sessions you have amount won for a certain session and some spaces right of that the rake for the session. But I don't get it. I am not getting rakeback and amount won is -$10 and the rake is $11 but in my br i have only dropped $10. How is this possible ? Does the rake add to the amount won ? And am I actually breakeven thus the only reason im down is because of the rake ?

yes the rake is taken out of amount won, so you are technically 1 dollar in the positively positive

well either way I'm getting the secureID thing.

switch:

- just get a laser mouse 6000 or whatever. I don't see what's the difference between a laptop mouse and a desktop mouse unless you really need the smaller versions of mice. the one above is pretty cheap, like 30 cdn I think.

- your pic made me lol

My mouse is a Razor Tarantula but it is a USB wired mouse. I like the Razor line because their mice light up (cool), look kick ass, are very comfortable, and are extremely precise and reliable.

I have yet to find a wireless mouse that I could trust. A review site i trust just posted a review on a wireless mouse but it has a huge base ... http://www.ocmodshop.com/ocmodshop.aspx?a=1427

My wife has a Logitech wireless mouse that has a very tiny USB receiver ... "Performance Laser 848" or something like that.

btw i'd prefer a usb mouse to a wireless (i don't mind the wire to save the hassle) as i mentioned above, do you have a link to your mouse ice?
