Do you play for the money or for fun ?

I play for money only, and freerolls(maybe it's for money too), I think for fun you can play any game but not a poker.

Well I play for the maths: understanding and feeling a theory isn't the same thing. But being able to get both sides, would make you able to make good rigoureous analysis and to be able to take quick and good decisions. Being able to win money for that makes it better! You get motivation from this.

I like poker maths, so for me it’s interesting to play it, to improve my game. But nevertheless money is the main motivation, but when you like your job, when you have fun during it, isn’t it the main reason most of us playing poker? Mostly people play for money, so am I, but a lot of people have fun during it. So my answer is I play for money but I have fun and enjoy it

Without something to risk and without something at risk poker would be a vacuous game..and game it is. There are a lot of serious things that can be acquired by playing poker, for instance, take a look at the MIT OCW lectures. Money and careers are built on developing good decisions and the only way you can appreciate this is by the sting of defeat and the applause of success.
