I was watching a poker documentary yesterday about a group of friends on their poker quest of chasing wsop bracelets and Rings. One asked their group how much money it would take for you to never play another hand of poker ever again.
What do you think? How much would it take for you?

That's what I've been wondering: how do these people manage to go play in these events? Just getting in is expensive, now imagine the tournaments and the flights! I think we've all seen Daniel's blogs and know how much he spends. I'd love to experience it, even though I live in Mexico

Good morning, everyone. I started playing Poker in 2028 and, since then, I fell in love with the game. I truly love playing Poker. Sometimes I even wake up in the middle of the night just to play Clash Game and have fun with friends. I also play tournaments to earn money, but above all, I play because I genuinely enjoy it.

The question is: how much money would it take for me to never play Poker again? Honestly, I don’t think any amount of money would make me stop. Poker is a game that I truly love playing.

I’ll give an example: Neymar is a multimillionaire and still plays video games and Poker because he enjoys them, because he loves competition and having fun. When a game is truly great and becomes part of your life, money doesn’t change that.

Honestly, I don't think I would stop playing poker for good for any amount of money.

Maybe I would stop grinding more seriously, but poker is more than money to me. It is strategy, competition, development and challenge.

Even after bad matches I always return to the tables 😄

What about you?

I don’t have an exact magic number, but rather a combination of: enough wealth to support my lifestyle, investments that generate passive income, and the mental freedom of no longer depending on the variance of the game.

Or apparently more often, hypothetical questions will lead to complete non-answers with most people unwilling to even entertain the premise.

I think it's pretty easy to come up with a number that would cover my basic needs and some luxuries in perpetuity with room for generous donations based on reasonable withdrawal rates- $2 million

Back to the future, I think you meant 1918 or 2018.

I didn't quite understand the thread, like most of the ones I see and respond to without understanding. I need US$200 to buy food for the month, I'm going to play some freerolls on 888poker, maybe I'll win that money.

To give up a hobby I love, enjoy and I'm pretty good at a lot of money and it's not even about the money really. I simply don't have that many hobbies that I'm very good at and can still be good at as I get older. I'm 53 I'm not going to be able to keep up with the best sim racers in the world and real life pro championship winning drivers who sim race forever. It's already getting tougher every year.

10 million tax free.

Cheers!!!

There's no amount of money I could reach at which I would stop playing. I don't play for money. Now, if someone wants to pay me not to play, then that's a different story. I love playing poker, but if anyone here is willing to pay me $2000 a month to not play, message me privately. LOL

I would continue playing for pleasure, but if I had $10 million I would no longer play for money as an obligation.

If there are people willing to give me $1 million, I can stop playing. I can easily quit all gambling and poker if someone offers me such a deal.
Unfortunately, no one will offer it and I will play poker as much as I can.

Regardless of the amount of money, I think I would still play for fun. It's true that I currently play to earn some extra money, but even if I were to win a lot of money, I would still play.

i think its not just about the money, but its more like achievement and feeling of excitement that when u won a hand on a tournament.
