Hey vanq, Bet365 say the ipoker network doesn't do rakeback, confirm/deny? The girl in the VIP section said they will promote me to level 6 str8 away and would make me a special cash offer on the 10,000 MP's/month!

that's an awful deal. ipoker does rakeback and u can get 40% if u want me to hook u up. don't worry about the player points because those will be awful in terms of rakeback and ur actual deal will get u all the perks of VIP status anyway (besides the points or w/e)

sigh, i make an interesting ring game HA thread and it gets two posts, only one of which was legitimate. there's a reason i hardly bother posting hands anymore
Yeah, its pretty bad in there these days. We need to find some way of diverting all those standard hands away from posting.

1) I think the stickies need to be cleaned up in there badly. There's 6 stickies in RGHA that all pretty much explain the rules. I'd like to see 1 sticky for the rules, and one for top notch content. Done.

2) I think we need to force people to stop using the CC Hand Converter, it screws up too much.

3) I think a "standard hands" sticky should be there somewhere. I see so many threads where people are like "I have a set on a monotone flop, what does I do?" A ton of the spots that people post are standard, and while sometimes its people who just want confirmation because they're losing confidence in their game, most of those threads could be solved with a sticky summarizing standard spots. 1 sticky at the top of the board with "Check these Standard Hands before posting" as the title, and a summary of the most common spots & what to do would probably divert some of the more basic posts.

4) Do old posts get deleted after a certain amount of time in hand analysis? I often go back looking for old hands I've posted and I think they're gone forever :|. A lot of hand analysis threads kick the shit out of the stuff posted in the Golden Archives.

5. Kill this thread....
Hate to say it cause i like this thread but a lot of stuff that should probably go in HA or strategy forum ends up here and is taking possible good discussions from the boards they should be posted in as-well as diluting the discussion.

Maybe mods should just be more strict with this thread and make sure any hands are posted in HA instead of here.

I think most of the hands posted in this thread are either bad beats, hero moves that are pretty obvious why they've taken the actions they did, or hands that are standard & people just want a quick check. I don't think they take away from the discussion that much in HA.

I agree, a lot of the hands posted here though are just beats/whines though. Still if we agree to post no hands here at all it would increase HA activity lots.

Yeah i know most of the hands here are just suckouts or hero calls but this threads seems to be doing the same thing that a chat box would do.
Making people post a lot here and there for less on other boards.

Start of session: KK raise pre, dude with 22 flops boat on 323 flop. I go broke.
20 mins later AA 3bet pre. 8J playing 60/20 flops the str8, I go broke.

This doesn't make a lot of sense Sindri. These threads are chat threads, and if you stop this then you will increase the amount of shite threads that will get started in other sections about inane drivel.

Also CC will not promote having a chat box, it's been mentioned numerous occasions and has been kicked out all times.

It's a place to hang out and post one questions, moans, funny stuff. Take that away and you taking away the most popular threads on this site tbh. They constantly have the most views and posts on a month to month basis.

-1.

Posting standard hands horribly played is what makes beginners learn provided they listen to the more experienced people who answer them. It's an active process and it's a lot better for them than passively reading a post about standard hands.

What needs to be done, imo, is to separate the 25nl and below stakes where 99% of the hands posted are standard, and the 50nl or 100nl and above stakes where more elaborate strategies can be analyzed because playing super standard is not necessarily enough to profit anymore, because we face regs, ...

I suppose an active process is better, but it just feels like I'm repeating the same stuff over & over again sometimes. Like threads where people flop a straight & then slowplay, or bet the flop in position with KK on an AXXr board. That stuff is standard, and I learn a ton of stuff through similar strategy posts over at 2+2. While I'm sure being actively told your stuff is standard carries weight, having it posted in a poker bible stickied at the top of the forum has to really influence people's play as well.

It doesn't need to be you answering all those. We can take turns, if you want... :)

Up until now, my poker career hasn't seen me make a lot of cashouts. I've made a few 3-figure-cashouts a couple of times, but that's it.

Today, I've submitted a 5-figure-cashout to my bank account, and boy, I cannot wait for the money to get here. Virtual moniez is a'ight, but real moniez is TEH NUTS!!! I'm so excited, had to send Stars my ID and a utility bill. I'm glad they take this shit seriously.

Beat: bankroll reduced by 1/4th
Brag: First SERIOUS cashout ever
Variance: I hope there'll be none
