| Profile | Approx. Weekly Playing Time | Comment |
|---|---|---|
| Serious part-time winner | 10–20 hrs | Can generate a good side income with a solid win rate |
| Serious grinder | 20–30 hrs | Probably the most reasonable range for balancing volume and quality |
| Full-time pro | 25–40 hrs | Doesn't necessarily play 8 hours every day |
| Very aggressive grinder | 40+ hrs | It exists, but maintaining a high level of play for that long is difficult |
I really liked your point! In my case, I only need to play with 2 screens open in the game because I don't use any App that could help with that.bremp555 said:There isn't really a standard number of hours. Ten hours a day is a lot, and playing that long doesn't automatically mean you'll make more money.
For me, the important thing is the quality of the decisions and your win rate over a large sample. If you're tired or forcing yourself to reach a daily money goal, your game can suffer. I would focus more on long term results than trying to hit a specific amount every day.
Playing with two screens at the same time is easier for me. I tried with six screens and got all messed up.austral said:

Amen! I want my bankroll full but I'm cashing out almost all the time because every time I fatten it up I end up losing the cash in the cash game lolGarotoMaroto said:I have no idea
If I have good bankroll, probably 8 hours max
God bless
Brainstorming is really great and I really liked your mind thinking this way. I actually have my social life a bit on pause, but it was a choice.fundiver199 said:Depends on what you mean by "good money", what your hourly winrate per table is, and how many tables can you play at a time. For me I think, a question like this is a bit like putting the wagon in front of the horse. For me its better to ask, how do I get better at poker, and how much time can I dedicate to it without this affecting my work, my relationship and my general quality of life. And then time will tell, how much money (if any) you are able to make from poker. If you start out with an earnings target, I think, there is a high risk of failure.
I checked out some of your Sharkscope profiles, and you are playing a lot of freerolls and penny games. Spending 10 hours per day playing that kind of games is hardly a good choise, so I suggest, that you start to do something different. Put more time and effort into studying, and spend significantly less time at the tables but playing much higher stakes. Like maybe a $5 average buyin, when you have enough bankroll for it. Change quantity for quality.
it doesn't exist, it's just things I hear in my head hahahahahahahahaaajfilho said:Wow, never thought about that. Is there really an amount of hours for this?

I found this out later when I tried to put 6 screens on the desk. Crazy d++allwaysbluff said:I currently only play a maximum of 4 hours occasionally, I really don't have a money goal today, but when I had one I didn't play more than 8 hours, normally after so much play you're not playing, just acting by instinct, it's better to play until you know what you're thinking, if you're not thinking it's all wrong
Yeah! At first, not really, but over time it gets tiringMazembe said:I also play around 10 hours, I don't think there's an exact correct answer to this
I believe that the value should be different for each person, and knowing how much to invest would be something interesting to discussJohnvaka said:Very good question and it would also be a good question how many benches you can start with for a good gaming section
