For me, France is the number one favorite, followed by Spain and Argentina. Then I'd put Germany, Portugal, and England. In that order, those are the teams I see as the strongest contenders.

The rest can still make the tournament interesting, but I don't see them at the same level right now. Especially Brazil — in my opinion, this is no longer the Brazil we used to know, the team that used to strike fear into every opponent.

France should have won previous ngl, Argentina win was a fluke

What do you think about the poor performance of the Spanish team? Do they still have a chance to win the final?

Cape Verde goalkeeper becomes hero.
The international press is celebrating Vozinha, the 40-year-old goalkeeper from the small island nation of just half a million. The veteran goalkeeper made 8 huge saves.
The Spanish team was incredibly comfortable with the game.
Although they had 74% possession and 710 passes, their game lacked dynamics, creativity and changes of pace.

Spain no longer the nb1 favorites to win the World Cup, 1st match was enough to move to 2nd place and I'm curious if they'll go even lower after the next 2 games
Top 5 favorites
The tournament just started and we had so many 'upsets' (Switzerland vs. Qatar 1-1 was a big one and IMO we've had quite a few other 'weird' results), but we've also had some entertaining events and overall I've liked what I've seen so far :)

It was a big mistake in my opinion to bring in Lamine Yamal so late into the game....

I also like that wc very much 👍🏼
Shame though the USA is such a disgrace as host with all the incidents...
All thanks to Mango Mussolinis policies
But let's enjoy the good aspects of this world cup 😅

An Austrian TV Channel loaded up an article immediately after the game titled:
"40 year old humiliates Spain"
😆😆😆

Amazing work of Cabo Verde holding that game in zero.
Spain didn't do too much, but remember that in 2022 Argentina lost his first game against Arabia Saudita.

It's hard to look past Argentina, France, and Spain. They all have world-class squads and know how to handle the pressure. That said, every World Cup has a dark horse, so I wouldn't be surprised if a team like Portugal or England made a deep run.

I wanted to get into this World cup, but right now it feels almost like it isn't happening. Hardly anybody is talking about it, I'm not seeing flags, references to it everywhere and so on. A friend at our games night yesterday kept giving us updates on one of the games and I don't think anybody cared.

All of the above is because there are too many teams and the groups are too weak. There have been many shocks already (mostly draws where a win was expected), but I still don't believe they'll ultimately matter - the bigger teams will get through their groups in the end, and the tournament won't really start until the knockout phase.
