On Sunday I saw an Argentine national team that didn't come out to play the FINAL match like all the previous 6 games. Something happened, without being conspiranoic I think they punished us for the flag displayed after the game against England, a serious provocative and unnecessary mistake if you ask me. Was anyone able to see Messi's harangue before the game? Don't you think he could have done it in the locker room without anyone listening to him? No, he did it outside the door knowing that there were cameras that would be filming him.
Not only did Argentina not shoot archery in 115 minutes, I barely exceed half the court, IN A WORLD FINAL? With the self-love that these players have and knowing that they would give up their lives to give another title to MESSI? hahaha please. A team that averaged 3 goals in favor per game, that beat Cape Verde ahead of it, that turned the result around Egypt in 15 minutes scoring 3 goals, the team that turned the game around England? Spain was better than us and that was all. I don't think there's anything unusual. Just like Argentina, it was better than all its rivals until the final.

Really hope they never win anything again. Will be difficult anyway now that Messi is gone since everything they do and have done seems to depend on that one person.

Spain didn't deserve this trophy. Argentina wouldn't deserve it either, if they were to win it.

The sport is leveling up for all the countries... so 64 is a nice number for me. Maybe in the long long term we have like 96 or even 128... but no one here will be live to see it.

There are two reasons for a 64 team world cup :

1. Money
2. Votes

argentina's team made themselves look like fools + horrible sports . shame on them !

Spain won on merit.. conceded only one goal in the entire tournament, which was scored by Belgium, otherwise they didn't have much trouble.

Spain is a team no one could beat. They fouled on Messi as soon as he received the ball in midfield, and they never received a yellow card. The only chance was a shootout.

fouls ?what match were you watching ? argentina had more fouls in the final than any team thru the whole cup . btw , that was true 4 years ago also , when they won it all . they have practiced the dark arts for decades ( remember maradona's hand of god and the suspicious 1978 game vs peru ?).

In the final I saw Spain a team what tried to win and I saw Argentina a team what didnt do anything at all. So since it was at late night I turned off the TV at the end of regular play time. Argentina was a huge disappointment for me.
Later I watched the replay about the rest of the match. After Spain scored, Argentina immediatelly started playing (even with 10 players) and it had at least 2 serious attacks but they had no time to score...
All in all this match wasnt won by Spain since they didnt play their best football. For example Yamal wasnt playing good in the whole tournament comparing to himself, what he usually does in Barcelona. Argentina lost this final because their tragical strategy in my opinion.
I really hope that the next final will be much better cos this one didnt do good for football/soccer.

The most interesting thing is, I saw a video where a young woman asked Alisa who would win the 2026 World Cup; the video was recorded four or five hours before the match. Alisa predicted that Spain would win 2–1! Spain did win, though not by that score.
I imagine bookmakers made a fortune on this championship!
