My FIFA World Cup press pass is pending approval!!! We are hoping it is approved in time for the Sunday game in Atlanta. (my husband has one too). We will be doing "quality control" whatever that is lol. But we will have free parking and will be in the stadium hours before and after the game - with special accesses. We are soooo excited!

In this first round, Argentina and France confirmed that they are strong favorites for the title. The disappointments were Brazil and Portugal. But there's still a lot of the World Cup left.

Plenty of teams have scored lots of goals in pool play . But it's hard to spot the best squads when you have 48 teams total and a fair number of them don't have much talent .

Didnt know world cup (of all major sporting events) has so strict safety measures that anyone who probably isnt even working for any media outlet can actually get press pass :unsure:

So there´s chance?!? 2030 here i come (or not)

Okay, So I am trying to watch it <3 and Canada's game was really exciting <3 I will keep trying to get it <3 but I have no clue why whistle happens, except when someone falls dramatically <3

It is not that easy - our friend has been doing this job for 14 years and is well trusted. And they did run security checks on both of us - we are squeaky clean. If anything at all had come up, we would have been out.

The actual press spends up to 12 hours a day at the stadium - so there is a strong need for others to assist them throughout the day. Those people and security, FIFA employees, etc are the ONLY people who get access to press passes.

We missed the first 2 games waiting for our clearance - so when I say it was fast it still took a week.
