Bryn Kenney added yet another seven-figure cash to his stellar poker resume the week in Korea by winning the $100,000 buy-in Kings Charity Super High Roller event, and he made history while doing it.
Kenney becomes the first player in the Universe to hit the $90 million mark in tournament poker cashes.
He leads second-place Jason Koon by $13.6 million on Hendon Mob’s all-time cash list with $90.7 million. The amount he won here doesn’t even crack Kenney’s top 10 best cashes.
The event took place at Jeju Sinhwa World Resort and attracted 49 high-rollers and 22 rebuys. The minimum cash was $200,000 and payouts started in 11th place.
Once the tournament got down to heads-up between Jesse Lonis and Kenney, the two high-rolling superstars struck a deal, giving the chip leader an extra $454,000 and the trophy.
Kenney turns 40 on Nov. 1, which means he will be eligible for the Poker Hall of Fame next summer. Whether he gets in or not will be up to the current members, but there is no doubt he will be nominated.
The K Poker Cup runs until Aug. 10.
