The opportunity to turn a little into a whole lot is one of the things that make poker so appeal or many of the people who play cards, and on of the biggest examples of that occurred to a player in Pennsylvania who got very, very lucky last week.

A player with the username “Jesuz1zBlac” turned a $50 entry into $250,000, which, according to FanDuel, is the largest buy-in to payout prize in its history.
The win happened playing the site’s Spin & Go jackpot games. on June 16. Available on most online sites now, the Spin & Gos are a quick, three-handed match with buy-ins ranging from a $1 on up. Once three players are gathered, the site randomly chooses a prize ranging from double the buy-in to 5,000 times the buy-in — an uber-rare occurrence.
How rare? How about 1 in 10 million. That’s in the same neighborhood as matching five balls playing Powerball. And that’s just getting the chance to win that money.
“Jesuz1zBlac” then had to beat two other players playing the hyper-turbo game. Staring with 10 big blinds and a three-minute blinds, it’s a true crap shoot who comes out on top of these things.
While strategy guides do exist for this wild and wooly format, the cards have an extraordinarily large voice in who walks away with the prize in the winner-takes-all format.
One day in June, it was a random poker player in Pennsylvania who got smacked in the face by Lady Luck. The state of Pennsylvania gets $7,500 of it, while the Feds take a 24% bite worth $60,000.
