Santhosh Suvarna keeps showing the world why he’s not only India’s best poker player, but also one of the masters currently playing.
Suvarna, a regular on the super high-stakes poker trail, won his third World Series of poker bracelet in the $50,000 High Roller event. All his bracelets came in those nose-bleeders.
He won $1.9 million for taking all the chips from the 166 other entries. He now has more than $22 million in poker cashes.
The final table consisted of the usual gang of high rollers. Jans Arends pushed his lifetime tournament earnings figure over the $6 million bar with an eighth-place finish good for $99,150.
Brian Breck added $257,770 to his stack that has yet to reach $1 million for being the next player out. It was his 15th tournament cash as recored by the Hendon Mob, and his largest to date.
Brandon Wilson surpassed the $15 million mark with a sixth-place finish for $340,905. It’s his 14th best cash. Fourteenth folks.
Anatoliy Zlotnikov cleared $6 million in tourney cashes with the $460,445 he took for being knocked out in fifth, followed by Chris Brewer, who aded $634,870 to his mountain of tournament cashes that will soon crest $30 million. Heck, it might have happened when he slept-off this event.
Colin Robinson binked a career-best $893,225 for third.
Chang Lee won his first bracelet in the $25,000 version of this event last year that came with $1.9 million. The $1.2 million that came for runner-up in this one pushed his lifetime earnings to $4.5 million.
