I don't always get to talk in a game, more than anything, to provoke them to lose concentration and take advantage of that, but in the end when playing with professional players it is difficult to have that option to make a variation in the balance.

I don't always get to speak at the tables because you lose concentration when your opponent can complete a bad hand and in the end you are left on tilt, for that reason it is better to avoid failures.

It is difficult not to get into the game when they talk to you, but you must understand that there are players who are looking for that to try to get you out of your game.

I don't like to communicate during the game. I try to focus and make good decisions. Conversations are distracting, and therefore only hinder the achievement of goals.

I see poker not only as a business and I also love to play it. Accordingly, I don't see conversation with other players as a disadvantage at all. It must be a certain sympathy and that can be very entertaining.
A good example is Musapha Kanit or Daniel Negreganu. Both professional players and yet both provide good entertainment.
So I'm happy every time I meet sympatic people who are not only looking to get information out of me, but who also love the game as well as me.

I don’t talk while on line very often but I do live except when I’m dealing. I think the dealer is suppose to keep the game going smoothly and not get into conversations with the players. It drives me crazy lol.

I'm very bad at balancing poker and conversations, if I'm focused on poker I can't get the gist of the conversation and keep asking again, if I meet in a conversation I might miss something interesting in poker.

i do like to talk / chat while playing . i think it is good because it makes a relaxed and fun atmosphere . you can also make some new buddies etc

however i think if you give yourself too much into the conversations you might not play your optimal game . so you need to be careful

I never talk in a tournament, I always focus on my game and the game of the opponents at the table, a simple conversation can cost you a lot of money.

Talking during a game

Not so much when playing online. If someone initiates a conversation I'm glad to visit with them. Live game, I'm just a social butterfly. Our home game is every Saturday, 20-30 people, dinner break, smoke breaks, just a great social event.

I prefer to focus extremely much on the game, in order to be able to make the best decisions possible, limited to my possibilities, of course. But sometimes, too much concentration bothers me and I feel the need to have friendly conversations even with poker opponents. So I think balance is everything.
