This is actually bullshit with not giving up. If it's not conscious choice, I mean awareness, how this works, why bother.
If he/she really wants to, then I suggest to look at poker challenges subforum, there are many encouraging stories out there.

Just shrug it off & reload, or, on the off chance that the money you lost mattered, I'd take some time off & grow an IQ.

The first post of this new member, it seems a bit excessive with the bankroll figure.
Maybe it will cause some of our reactions, but I honestly think that someone who spent 23k will not come and post on this forum.
And if by any chance you really lost money that you can't afford to lose, you should definitely reconsider your decisions and priorities in life.
So good luck anyway!

It's sad, but there are quite a lot of options for you to do.
You can start all over again. Start, for example, with our free course and our freerolls.

Build up some capital from a job or from grinding

That is of course... if you WANT to be playing poker again

If you were just gambling and the high is gone, it's ok to move on to other things as well

23k is a lot :( FeelsBadMan </3

if you've lost so much money, it's worth playing at low limits until you get your money back after you already think about what to do

Did you lost all your bankroll because of tilt or did you followed bankroll management? Do play poker only for hobby? If yes, the first thing I would is take a break to cool off and decide if poker still fun to you. If yes, I would set strictly rules of bankroll management.

If it's actually real money, this thread would probably blow up if you tell us how you lost it.

It's a big amount! I know the trend is to try to invest money as soon as possible to recover your loss, but it would be a big mistake!!!! There must be something else to relax you, stay away from poker for at least 2 weeks, analyze yourself and your game, after which when you feel full of energy (not rage!) come back and try not to advance in large quantities, start with small steps. Good luck!

I share the advice they say or find another hobby or play only freerolls until I return to which I would add to study a lot to progress. Although if I lost that bank I would retire crying for life haha

In most cases - assuming you're a more or less adequate player who doesn't roll drunk or on hard tilt - bankrolls are lost due to overly aggressive bankroll management. Or, to put it more simply, because of the player's too strong desire to quickly earn money and climb higher limits. The fact remains that bankrolls are lost and will be lost. And if you are here because this happened to you, then first of all, do not despair and do not give up, because now we will talk about what needs to be done so that you can reboot, recover and get back into the fight.

In this case, a break of at least a year is required. If you are a millionaire, you can take a break for a week. Frankly, this amount is quite serious. If you are a serious gambler, it is better to leave poker and other gambling. Otherwise, there may be serious unforeseen consequences. You can lose everything.

Bro please tell me this isn't real money? Dude you need to seek help this is not good at all. If that 23k didn't hurt your pocket and you're worth hundreds of thousands or you're a millionaire then okay. But if this was your whole entire count then yeah man you need to seek help and call the addicted to gambling hotline bro.

Also learn better ways to manage your bankroll. The key to successful gambling rather it's poker, blackjack, or sports betting let alone gambling is all about how you manage your bankroll with discipline.

I would like to know how you lost it friend.
I think playing cash. Actually I am not an adviser to build a bankroll playing cash because the variance is very large.
Cash any junk hand destroys you. MTT or SNG any junk hand or the times because if you go in general you are out of the tournament.
I think you should rest. I don't know your economic situation, for me destroying a bankroll of 23K would be a devastating blow.
But you can always go back. Good advice from luvepoker, she checks with a cold head where the error could have been.
Think that your bankroll was important, you could play 100 MTT of US $ 200 which give very good prizes.
It's a real shame, it makes me sad brother. But I have the conviction that you will recover from this and you will get ahead and once again you will be at the full tables
Cheers:):):):giggle::giggle::giggle:

probably need to identify the leak that enabled such a big down swing. Bankroll management is obv important and if thats the issue then u should start byte fix there. if u ran a roll to 23k from 0 then obv there is some skill set n there. Going back to 0 is wherein lies the problem. Gotta regroup and positivity to I’ve forward. Not the first that busted. Good luck.
