I started playing poker just for fun with friends as it`s quite interesting game for us, but in such way as it goes in tournaments - to play for several hours to outplay hundreds of people - poker will surely become much less popular as there will be no meaning to spend so much time on it.

Try sitting down and playing with no money. I found that there was very little to make it interesting and besides, people play differently when there are no stakes, it's not the same game.

has anyone ever thought that all activities that contain real beauty on earth do not contain duality.
Ask the poets if or the readers of the poems if the influence of money would make a difference.
Ask musicians if they would stop playing or enjoying music because they aren't making money from it. Or ask a fan who spent a lot of money to see their idol if they regretted it. There is another point which is the following, things that contain real beauty do not label what is professional or not, they do not divide they unite and welcome. And they propagate beauty because there is no division, there is a vision of multiple points of beauty and it is not limited to 1 or 2

First few months I only played with play money to get familiar with poker. While it was fun to a certain point, poker needs money to make it interesting.

No and I tell you why.
The game itself is awesome with or without money. But playing without money takes away some seriousness . At least in my experience people take the game less seriously than If it envolved real money.
Even at real money game you have some discrepancies. If it is not a Homegame or a CardsChat freeroll 😉 you also find enough people where you can see they don't cherish and appreciate the game as much . Especially in microstakes.
It's more about mindnumbing gambling moves than actual good poker.

One of the many reason I enjoy our community.
You can see almost anyone is here for the game.
Potential prize money is just a bonus..
